Category: Knowing God

Jesus tells us in John 17:3 that life eternal is knowing God. There is so much confusion about God’s character in the world but more importantly in the church! How well you know God will affect how you interpret the Bible. Let’s take the veil off by getting to know Him through His word (Hebrews 6:19, 10:20).

I love how Malachi 3:16 defines the fear of the Lord:

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
Those that fear the LORD, talk to each other often and think upon His name! How many of God’s names are discouraging? If ALL of God’s names are good and encouraging, why are so many people discouraged and fearful today?
According to Titus 1:15-16, there is a difference between knowing God and professing to know Him:
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
You can begin by reading and studying His word today.
The Goodness of God

The Goodness of God

What does the Bible say leads people to repentance? The goodness of God! I know and thank God that all Christians have different callings and messages to publish. And I am so very thankful that I am specifically called to preach, teach, and sing of the goodness of God! Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness[G5544] and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? – Rom 2:4 KJV Blue Letter Bible I…

All Shall Know Me

All Shall Know Me

In Hebrews 8:11, we are told that “all shall know Me.” And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. – Heb 8:11 KJV Jesus is praying to God in John 17:3 and says that life eternal is knowing the only true God. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ,…

Answer Every Man

Answer Every Man

In Colossians 4 and 1 Peter 3, Paul and Peter tell us that we can know how and be prepared to give an answer to every man. Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. – Col 4:6 KJV But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that…

Who is God? What is Love?

Who is God? What is Love?

First, we will find out that God is love. Then, we will define love. John explains that God is love. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. – 1Jo 4:16 NKJVLove has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world….

Our Need For The Cross

Our Need For The Cross

Our Need For The Cross If perfection came before the cross, there would be no need for the cross. Don’t ever get confused about when the time is right to go to God and make Jesus the Lord of your life. The moment you decide you’re willing and wanting God in your life-that’s the time! Don’t you hesitate or question it even for a second because the devil will do everything he can to keep you from making that decision….

Faith Or Facts – Which Is It?

Faith Or Facts – Which Is It?

Faith Or Facts Do you rely on your faith or facts when facing an impossible and sometimes frightening situation? When receiving bad news, it is very easy for overwhelming thoughts to flood your mind. You think about all the ways in the natural that this is bad, what is going to happen, you may flippantly say, “I’ll pray it gets better or goes away,” depending on the problem. Natural thoughts and emotions will take over in times like these if…

The Power of Love

The Power of Love

The Power of Love There is nothing stronger than the power of love. Why? Because God IS love and love never fails. I was meditating on how our approach and interaction with people can be so powerful when we do it in love. Sadly people today are led by their emotions which can lead to all sorts of trouble. It takes discipline to watch your tongue and control your emotions. However, when you lovingly approach people with the heart of…
