Prayer is a misunderstood and daunting task for many. Therefore, this Prayer Journal page is a quick resource and reference. Have confidence in praying biblical prayers. Jesus taught His disciples to pray to “our Father” and to pray in His name and His will.

Prayer is Powerful

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; – Ephesians 6:18 KJV

Prayer Journal Entry-April 2, 2024

Who are the fatherless and widows?

[Jas 1:27 KJV] 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Anyone who doesn’t know God as Father and Jesus as husband is an orphan and a widow.

[Isa 54:5 KJV] 5 For thy Maker [is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Father,

reveal the fatherless and widows that we meet every day to us and show us practical ways to visit them and to reveal You, Your goodness that leads to repentance, Your mercy, grace, and kindness, and especially Your love to them in their affliction.

You are good.

Lord, give us a hunger and thirst for Your righteousness so that we may freely give as we freely receive from You.

Father, We pray that with all boldness we may speak Your word. By stretching out Your hand to heal and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of Your Holy Child Jesus. Amen! Hallelujah!

Prayer Journal Entry-March 2, 2023

Our Father, We pray for a hunger and thirst to know You more. Give us a hunger and thirst to spend time, consuming Your words and being consumed by your fire and Holy Ghost (Matthew 5:6). Fill us with Your precious Holy Spirit, a river bubbling up in us and overflowing into the whole world (John 4:14). Help us see the power Jesus came to give us over the enemy. Every weapon he tries to form against us is just another opportunity to get angrier (Ephesians 4:26-27)! To get back up and run at the devil, cut his head off with his own sword, and then feed him to the birds! He will regret the day he ever messed with God’s kids, His saints, and His overly prepared soldiers fighting for the world that You so love (2 Corinthians 10:4, John 3:16)!!! Amen!! Hallelujah! Woot woot!!!

Our Father,

Jesus is the light of the world. We pray that we will follow Him and not walk in darkness, but we will have the light of life! Amen! Thank You, Lord! Amen.

Prayer Journal Entry-February 15, 2023

Friend, Jesus provided atonement for healing, provision, and everything else we need or could ever want on the cross.

Believe and receive it!

I cannot pray for something that you already have! Please see AWMI healing center and soak in the healing testimonies and healing Scriptures!

I pray that you will do that.

Just like you don’t have to pray for God to overshadow me with favor and all that because I am already blessed and highly favored of God! He has provided all of the wisdom I could ever need or want in His written Word the Holy Bible. It is up to you and me to seek, knock, and ask Him for the revelation of how to believe and receive what He has already done.

Jesus said that it is finished.

I asked God last night how to pray for you because He has already provided all of the things you are asking me to pray for you for. He wants you to have everything good and perfect!

Believe and Receive When You Pray

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them]. – Mar 11:24 KJV

It is now up to you to believe what He has already provided, ask in faith (Romans 10:17), and know that you have already received it when you pray.

I am praying for you to receive all of those things because God has already provided them for your taking. Keep seeking first His kingdom by reading, meditating on, and asking Him about His Word, the Holy Bible.

We Should Receive the Holy Ghost!

(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) – Jhn 7:39 KJV

Have you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Do you pray in tongues? I copied and pasted below part of a post I wrote in one of my Charis Bible College classes:

Double!

If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man’s house; if the thief be found, let him pay double. – Exo 22:7 KJV

Anything the thief has stolen, he has to pay back in multiples when we call him on it! Hallelujah! He has been caught (John 10:10)! It is time to pay up devil!!! Amen! Woot woot!!!

Those who are submitted to the enemy have stored up treasure to be transferred to the righteous! YES!!! Our God supplies all of our needs according to His riches in glory unto every good work! We already have unlimited resources to go into all the world and preach the gospel!

YES! Blessed to be blessings!

God bless you, Friend! I am praying for you and I thank God that you are diligently seeking Him! Hallelujah! Amen! We will have trouble in this world, but Jesus has already won the victory, and we are MORE than conquerors in Him!!! Hallelujah! Keep fighting the good fight and never, never, never give up! Prayer Journal Entry-May 5, 2022-Nancy Carey-ME ON YOUR MIND

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. We come to you as we are, and you accept us with open arms. You love us and know our heart condition. You paid the price on the cross with us on your mind. And without hesitation, you endured the pain to give us eternal life.

WORDS IN RED  

As we read the RED words in our BIBLE, it is YOU SPEAKING TO US. You know us by name. And You knew us before we were formed in the belly. You knew our birthdate; the day you rejoiced at our birth.

[Jer 1:5 KJV] 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

UNSPEAKABLE HOPE

You give us unspeakable HOPE when we are in need. When we run into your arms with our heavy-laden hearts, you give us rest.

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us.  We thank you and praise you for the POWER OF THE CROSS and what it provides for us. It is our PROTECTION against the enemy.  No more regrets. The chains that were once rusted on are now gone. Your LOVE renews our minds! 

[1Co 1:18 KJV] 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

LET FREEDOM RING

• Now we live in FREEDOM in the POWER OF THE CROSS. 
• FORGIVEN
• No longer LOST
• SET FREE

The scales on our eyes are gone!

Each day we tell the WORLD about the CROSS and what it has done for us. We are not ashamed of our faith but are PROCLAIMING it from the mountain tops.

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. Your GRACE is sufficient for us. Love never fails us. Your mercy is new every morning toward us. Your forgiveness abounds towards us.  When we seek you, we find YOU with open arms waiting to embrace us. 

My Grace is Sufficient

[2Co 12:9 KJV] 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

A Hope and a Future

We will not be discouraged today because we know you have a plan to give us a hope and future. You protect us from making wrong decisions.  When the answer is NO it is you saying, “I have something better for you!!!” 

[Jos 1:9 KJV] 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

You are patient with us as we learn to obey and continually give our lives to you! We will walk in your POWER today. Our eyes will be on you and our ears will be open to hear your still small voice.

Prayer Journal Entry-May 2, 2022-Nancy Carey-IF WE’VE EVER NEEDED YOU

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. We are desperate for you today. Lead us with your love and compassion for us.  Remove all obstacles the devil is trying to use against us. Open doors that have been shut.  Silence the voices that are speaking against us. We need you now. We are reaching out to you. 

You are our rock, our fortress, and our savior in whom we find protection. You are our shield and the power that saves us and keeps us safe. We run boldly into your throne room today.

[Heb 4:16 KJV] 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Prayer Journal Entry-April 29, 2022 (Nancy Carey)-FOLLOW ME

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. We are your children, we trust in you, and we FOLLOW YOU because you are our LORD and SHEPHERD. The Shepherd protects his sheep.  And we are your sheep. Where you lead, we will follow. When we hear your still small voice, we will obey. We follow and obey you because you LOVE us and only want the best for us. 

When it seems dark, you are our light. Even when the worldviews crowd our thoughts, you are the voice that breaks through with PEACE BE STILL. FOLLOW ME! 

[Psa 23:1-3 KJV] 1 [[A Psalm of David.]] The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

[Mat 16:24 KJV] 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

[Mar 4:39 KJV] 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Today is the day that you have made and we should rejoice and be glad in it. When we are down and in sorrow, we need to BELIEVE in our Shepherd. Whatever the devil tries to throw at us today, we respond with, IN THE NAME OF JESUS, GET BEHIND ME SATAN! 

FOLLOW ME are two powerful words that need our attention. We need to FOLLOW JESUS and not the world. Where HE LEADS US, we will FOLLOW. For his PATH leads us to love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control >>> PROSPERITY!!!!

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us.  When we feel all alone, YOU are at the door calling to our hearts. All we must do is RUN INTO YOUR ARMS.  We are never alone; your arms are always OPEN and ready to embrace us in our time of need.

When we can’t cry anymore, YOU are there when our heart is broken. Father, YOU mend broken hearts. YOU are near to the brokenhearted and save the crushed in spirit. Lord, YOU bind up our wounds. YOU are the strength of our hearts forever.

[Rev 3:20 KJV] 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. We know that you are with us every day, every hour, every minute of our lives. We never walk alone when we walk with You. You created us for a time such as this. You are the rock of our salvation, our fortress. We will not be shaken because You never leave us.

Guide our steps today toward your plan for our lives. Remove obstacles in our way so we can cross the finish line to where you want us to be. We WILL NOT be afraid or discouraged. Thank you for your blessings and unmerited favor over us today.

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. You LOVE us and protect us with your everlasting arms.  Cover us with your hand of righteousness today. Your faithfulness never lets us go; always in our lives. You never forsake us. We are always on YOUR mind!

We sing praises to you for walking beside us today. Lead us. Guide us. Send your angels to protect us. Regardless of what the enemy tries to throw at us, your ARMOR will protect us and redirect those arrows back to the source! AMEN.

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us.  We are your children, and we LOVE YOU. Our hearts belong to you because you created us for a time and a season.  A special moment to connect us with the RIGHT person who will provide the answer to our prayers.  

When you call us, you will provide.  We just need to show up for duty.

While waiting for our answer as to where to go, send us to be the answer to someone else’s prayer.

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. You love us and we LOVE you. Your love transcends all understanding. And your love casts out our fears.

[Isa 41:10 KJV] 10 Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
[Psa 34:4 KJV] 4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

You are our shield from the lies of the devil. You remind us of truth. And your love never fails.

We cast our fears away to restore our joy.

Toxic

I have been a toxic person! I still have to be very intentional to focus on love/charity. God did replace that toxic person with a new creation. I pray to allow God’s love and mercy to flow through us to help others see the greatness that He has placed inside of them also! Hallelujah! Amen! Dear Lord, come to the aid of [name of friend] who has been violently attacked by this evil disease. Surround him/her in Your arms of protection. In the Name of Jesus, this illness is extinguished and cut off from [name of friend]’s body. Let’s pray together to our Father and receive the protection He promises to us in Psalm 91 because we believe His Word over our circumstances (Mark 11:24).

Ask! (James 4:2)

We are not denying our circumstances, but we are praying in agreement with God for His will to be done (Matthew 6:10) and for our lives to line up with His Word because we walk by faith (Romans 10:17-18), not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)! Hallelujah! Amen!

We choose to dwell through prayer

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [We] will say of the LORD, “[He is] [our] refuge and [our] fortress; [Our] God, in Him [we] will trust.” Amen. Psalm 91:1-2

Prayer

Our Father,

Surely You shall deliver us from the snare of the fowler [And] from the perilous pestilence. You shall cover us with Your feathers, And under Your wings, we shall take refuge; Your truth is our shield and buckler (Psalm 91:3-4).

No Fear

We shall not be afraid of the terror by night, [Nor] of the arrow [that] flies by day, [Nor] of the pestilence [that] walks in darkness, [Nor] of the destruction [that] lays waste at noonday (Psalm 91:5-6).

Our Refuge

Prayer

Father, we agree with You in prayer that we shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent we shall trample underfoot (Psalm 91:13).

Prayer Journal Entry-January 1, 2022

Father,

First,

we thank You that grace and peace are from You, our Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:1-2).

Thank You, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for giving us the supernatural ability to pray always for all of our brothers and sisters (Colossians 1:3, 9, Ephesians 6:18).

Second, Father,

we pray that we might be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that we all might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of You, strengthened with all might according to Your glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness (Colossians 1:9-11).

Again,

we give thanks unto You, Father! You have already made us sufficient to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. You have already delivered us from the power of darkness and have already translated us into the kingdom of Your dear Son. In Him, we already have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:12-14).

Finally, we thank You, Father, for telling us in Colossians 1:15 that Jesus is the image of You, the invisible God! In Jesus’ name. Amen

Prayer Journal Entry-November 24, 2021

2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us that the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe. And Colossians 1:21 says that those people are alienated in their minds by wicked works. We command that the blinders come off of our loved ones that they are able to see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. He is the image of God.

Prayer

Father, We pray that Jesus’ light shines unto them to see Your provision for reconciliation! We pray that the Lord of the harvest sends forth laborers into His harvest. Thank You, Father, that you love our family and friends more than we do and would not have them perish (Matthew 18:14). We agree with You in this prayer in Matthew 9:38 and Luke 10:2.

Prayer Request For Inmates or Anyone in Bondage

I am praying that you are experiencing the freedom that only comes from the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:17)! I pray that you are diligently seeking Him because you know that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6) and that it is our choice to seek first His kingdom and allow everything else to be provided unto us (Matthew 6:33)! God is not holding back anything (John 10:10), but the enemy that comes to take and condemn (John 3:17) not Jesus!!!

Freedom Promise

Paul’s Prayer Request

Thank You that You are faithful to establish us and keep us from evil. Prayer

Our Father, we know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by Your Word (Romans 10:17). Jesus teaches us that we ought always to pray and not to faint and that You will avenge Your own elect speedily! Thank You that we can know that we have faith because we are hearing Your Word. We can pray without ceasing. And, thank You, Father, that we know that when the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) that because You promise to never leave nor forsake us that You are always here to avenge us speedily! When our sight is telling us through our physical circumstances all the negatives, help us to remember to only believe You and Your Word and to pray for Your will to be done, to pray and to not faint! We walk by faith and not by sight. Hallelujah! Amen and Amen.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

Colossians 4:12

Our Father, we pray in agreement with You and Your Word. Because we can know Your will, may each and every one of Your children stand perfect and complete in all of Your Will. We are praying this in Jesus’ name. Amen and amen!
