Prison Ministry

Prison Ministry

How do you encourage someone who is in prison? Or any kind of bondage? I have a prison ministry right from my laptop in my recliner in my home office! Jesus said that we would do greater works (John 14:12).

You Can Start A Prison Ministry

Jesus has given each and every one of us the opportunity to be filled with His Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and the knowledge of Him (Colossians 1:9). Through technology, we can travel through time and space to encourage others without physical limitation (1 Thessalonians 4:1, 1 Thessalonians 5:14, 2 Thessalonians 3:12, 1 Timothy 2:1, Jude 1:3)!

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. … So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. (Hebrews 3:12-15, 19 KJV)

Enter Into His Rest!

You have an enemy who wants you to be an accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:10) instead of an encourager! He wants you to think that you have to work to please God (Revelation 3:1-6, 13-18). The enemy doesn’t want you to enter into God’s rest (Hebrews 4:9-12).

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (Hebrews 4:11 KJV)

Make Your Faith Effective

Philemon 1:6 says to make your faith effective by acknowledging every good thing that is inside of you. God put those good things inside of you already (2 Corinthians 5:17). He tells us to be holy as He is holy (Leviticus 20:7, 1 Peter 1:15-16).

Spirit, Soul, and Body

1 Thessalonians 5:23 explains that we are three-part beings made in the image of our Creator, God the Father, God the Son, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV)

That is how we can be new creations (Galatians 6:15) who have to renew their minds to be transformed (Romans 12:2) and look at their physical bodies and say, “What did you say, Jesus??? Ain’t nothing new ’bout dat!!!” hahaha (Romans 8:22-23, Romans 7:18-25, 8:1-11)

Born-Again Spirit

Our little born-again spirits have been made perfect, holy, and new (1 Peter 1:23). That is what has been sealed by God’s Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30)!

He has made us His righteousness in Christ (2 Co 5:21). It is finished! Already done. We must freely receive every good thing God has done for us in order to be able to freely give testimony about His goodness that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4).

God Delights in Our Prayers

I pray that you are walking humbly in the knowledge of God and His Son Jesus today (John 17:3). Proverbs 15:8 says that God delights when we pray to Him.

Ask!

How many times does Jesus command us to ask! (Matthew 7:7-11, Matthew 18:19, 21:22, Luke 11:9-13, John 11:22-26, John 14:13-14, 15:7, 15:16, 16:23-26)

Let Us Pray Then!

Let’s pray for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Let’s pray for a hunger and thirst for His righteousness. In Jesus’ name, Amen!!!

This is Our Song

God is so good.

He is so good.

God is so good…

He’s so good to me.

That is our song! Even in the midst of the most terrible and horrible circumstances, we can offer our sacrifice of praise because we know that He didn’t cause us to be in these circumstances (John 10:10, Galatians 6:8, Romans 6:12-17), but He is here with us and promises to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Where His Spirit is there is freedom. Our facts and circumstances won’t change God’s Word, but God’s Word has the power to change our facts and circumstances!

The response I got:

I wrote to my friend in my prison ministry the above Scripture and encouragement. The response that I got was phenomenal!

She said that message was just what she needed for that day. And she was thankful for the encouragement. She prayed for Wesley and me and our family. Also, she asked about our well-being. She boasted in the beautiful day with thanksgiving.

In all caps, she praised the Lord, writing, “GOD IS AWESOME AND AMAZING!! I love you both and again I thank you as always.”

That is what our incarcerated friend wrote. Wow! I believe the Spirit of the Lord is in there with her, and she is fully aware of His presence. This is not the same girl Wesley and I started ministering to last year. She is thankful! This girl is not focused on herself or her circumstances but is praying for us! She is concerned for our needs! Not only is she praising the Lord, but she is boasting in the beautiful sunny day. She is shouting the goodness of God surrounded by thankfulness! She is in federal prison!

Discipleship

You can tell a mature disciple from someone who is immature by their fruit. You can tell your level of maturity by your own fruit! This fruit is naturally produced by receiving a revelation of God’s love toward you (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Once you freely receive the love of God, you can freely give it (Matthew 10:8)!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. (Galatians 5:22-26 KJV)

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Matthew 7:15-20 KJV)

Before I started being discipled by mature Christians in 2019, I had no idea how to give someone who is sick, dying, or in bondage any kind of hope (Hebrews 11:1)!

Deceived

I thought I would have to get really sick and persevere through it praising God to be a good Christian! That is sick!

I did get really sick, and I didn’t want to be a good example to anyone. Physical death was my new goal so that my family could move on without me.

I Knew the Word

The wrong god, the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4) was deceiving me. I was serving the one who knows the Word of God better than most Christians. The devil knows how to twist and pervert it to make us think God Almighty is causing chaos and pain.

You Can Know the Author and Finisher

Jesus says that Life Eternal is knowing God the Father and His Son, Jesus (John 17:3). Life Eternal begins now! Jesus also says that His sheep hear His voice, and He knows them, and they follow Him (John 10:27). Unfortunately, there are many who think they know Him, talk about Him like they know Him, but are not walking out John 10:27. The problem with being deceived is that you don’t know that you are being deceived.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23 KJV)

On A Personal Note:

I thank you all for your continued support and prayers! If you have been led by Holy Spirit to give to youwillwantto.com, there is now a “give” button that I set up through ConvertKit and Stripe. It opens a secure window through those established companies. I am working on applying for nonprofit status which takes a lot of time and money. Jesus told me that I was robbing Him and His people of the opportunity to partner with our ministry financially.

Remember, if God wants you to give monetarily to this ministry, you will want to! Hallelujah! So, if you don’t want to, don’t do it!!! hahaha

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (Psalm 37:4 KJV)

The best is yet to come for all of God’s children!!! Amen!!!
