Who is in Control?
James 4:7 tells us to submit to God and to resist the devil and he will flee! So, who is in control of your life? I hear so many Christians saying God is in control.
Are you fully submitted to God?
We live in a fallen world that is absolutely not being controlled by Jesus!
Pray for God to be in Control!
“God is in control!” is only true for you if and when you are actually obeying His voice (John 10:16).
As Jesus teaches His disciples in Luke 11 and Matthew 6:10, this should absolutely be our prayer. Then James 1:22 instructs us to be doers of the word. In other words, “take responsibility for yourself.”
Don’t Be Deceived
If the deceiver can get you to shirk your God-ordained responsibility to be in control of yourself and your life, you have unwittingly submitted yourself to the “god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4).”
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. – Rev 20:10 KJV
Blue Letter Bible “deceive*” 75 times in KJV
Who is in control?
Whether you care to admit it or not, you are! Stop blaming God (Isaiah 29:13).
Again, stop blaming God and those closest to you (Genesis 3:12).
Don’t even blame the devil (Genesis 3:13).
Pray for Ears to Hear!
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. – Mat 13:9 KJV
Be Disciples
What is the difference between disciples and religious hypocrites?
They both came to Jesus asking questions. True disciples come to Jesus to know Him and follow Him.
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? – Mat 13:10 KJV
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. – Mat 13:11 KJV
For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. – Mat 13:12 KJV
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. – Mat 13:13 KJV
It is given to disciples “to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven!’ Jesus said this!
Pray to see and hear and understand so that you shall have more abundance!
It is very easy to fall into the blame game.
Take Control
Take control of yourself and don’t be like the Pharisees. They wanted to be in control of everyone except for themselves (Matthew 23:4).
Learn to Love
Love is an action! Yes, the feelings associated with love are wonderful. But, most people long for the feelings not realizing that they can choose the 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 actions to love themselves and others the way God does! Sometimes it is not easy, but it is always your choice!
Discipleship Evangelism
Learn to be a disciple of Christ Jesus and evangelism comes naturally! Hallelujah! Ministry becomes natural instead of burdensome. Jesus loves you and the whole world so much that He gave Himself (John 3:16).
