Love in marriage sounds like a no-brainer. But the Bible has a lot to say about love including defining love as an action to take. You can learn to love your spouse as Christ loves the church.
Just as Danny Gokey sings, “Let’s keep it simple; love God, love people!” This is exactly how Christians are called to walk out the great commission in the fullness of the greatest commandments! Hallelujah!

The two greatest commandments are to love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself. Love is defined in the Bible as an action. You can learn to love unconditionally.
“What is love?” Before we can answer this question, we must explore, “Who is Love?” Because Love Himself has come down and written all of humanity a love letter titled, “The Holy Bible.” And in this book, He clearly defines the Person and action of LOVE!
Jesus commands us to continue in His love. That means we have a choice to submit to Him and choose life and the fruit of His Spirit or to submit ourselves to death. Let’s choose life. Choose to continue in His love.
Pride says, “Work hard to obtain, and even harder to maintain.” God says, “Humble yourself and let me lavish all of my goodness on you.” Let’s choose Jesus’ life more abundantly (John 10:10). And resist the devil and his lies.
Making love in marriage is good! But it starts outside the garden! Let’s get naked and not ashamed the way God intended from the beginning.
