Prosperity Gospel
There is no such thing as the “prosperity gospel.” I know there are people who preach and teach and take advantage of people who don’t know Jesus intimately and refuse to have His words abide in them (John 15:7). That is why we have a page, “Opportunities to Give,” instead of taking donations right now. We will preach the Gospel, the full Gospel, to the best of our abilities without guilt, shame, or manipulation.
We will teach you to follow the desires of your heart and not to give out of compulsion or guilt (Psalm 37:4, 2 Corinthians 9:7, 8:9).
Seed to the Sower
But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for [your] food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) – 2Co 9:6-10 KJV
Prosperity, health, and a prosperous soul (3 John 1:2) are part of the abundant life (John 10:10) Jesus came for each of us to believe, receive, and enjoy!
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them]. – Mar 11:24 KJV
The Greatest is Love
Isn’t it amazing that the disciple Jesus loves is also the one who gets to write, “that your/our joy may be full!” Wow! The same disciple whose revelation of God’s love took him to the foot of the cross (John 19:26-27). Who also was chosen to pen the Revelation of our Lord Jesus (Revelation 1).
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. – Jhn 16:24 KJV
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. – 1Jo 1:4 KJV
Having many things to write unto you, I would not [write] with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. – 2Jo 1:12 KJV
The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10)! The love of God is our very life (2 Corinthians 13:14)! Life, love, and joy is what we get to share with the world that God so loved (John 3:16-17).
Hurdles to Overcome!
They on the rock [are they], which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. – Luk 8:13 KJV
How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that [cometh] from God only? – Jhn 5:44 KJV
(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) – Jhn 7:39 KJV
The Enemy
Jesus also warns us that we will face trials and tribulations from our enemy and those who submit to him (the devil) instead of submitting to God (Luke 6:26, Galatians 2:4, 1 John 4:1). In this life only! Sometimes we have to choose to temporarily walk away from those we love the most!
Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. – Mar 10:28-30 KJV
Laughed to Scorn
Those who reject Jesus and His great salvation won’t be around after the judgment!!! Those are the people Jesus came to seek and to save.
And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. – Luk 19:9-10 KJV
Your identity was lost when sin entered the world. If you have been born again, your identity has been restored. You simply renew your mind to transform your life (Romans 12:1-3). That’s it! Sow the incorruptible seed into your heart and watch God do the work (Philippians 1:6, 1 Peter 1:23-25)! You just get to enjoy Him and be confident in His promise and ability to give you the desires of your heart! That’s right…You WILL WANT TO!!!
Please tell me one person you have taken time to get to know who doesn’t want to know God! Maybe it isn’t God they are rejecting but your religion! Hypocrisy! Judgment! Criticism! I am guilty too! Let’s choose today to stop being the devil’s pawn! And choose Christ Jesus and His words! Unashamedly and with complete abandon. Let His truth set you free! Hallelujah!
Know God’s Will
Those who submit to the lies and deception of the devil but have received Jesus are the ones who are not enjoying this life and will have their tears wiped away because they will realize they believed the lies instead of the WORD (Isaiah 25:8, Revelation 7:17, 21:4). We can rejoice always, even in the hard times, when we believe Jesus’ words, especially John 14-17!
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. – 2Co 8:9 KJV
True poverty is being stripped of your clothing and thirsty (John 19:23, 28).
Jesus didn’t have a place to lay His head while He was traveling because Judas was skimming the big bucks instead of calling ahead to make reservations. hahaha!
Let’s read the Bible in context. This includes reading the Old Testament as New Testament believers who have the Revelation of Christ Jesus.
