Category: Knowing God

Jesus tells us in John 17:3 that life eternal is knowing God. There is so much confusion about God’s character in the world but more importantly in the church! How well you know God will affect how you interpret the Bible. Let’s take the veil off by getting to know Him through His word (Hebrews 6:19, 10:20).

I love how Malachi 3:16 defines the fear of the Lord:

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
Those that fear the LORD, talk to each other often and think upon His name! How many of God’s names are discouraging? If ALL of God’s names are good and encouraging, why are so many people discouraged and fearful today?
According to Titus 1:15-16, there is a difference between knowing God and professing to know Him:
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
You can begin by reading and studying His word today.
UNMERITED FAVOR

UNMERITED FAVOR

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. Our salvation comes with your UNMERITED FAVOR; your showers of GRACE upon our lives.  [Psa 90:17 NIV] 17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us–yes, establish the work of our hands. We come before you in WORSHIP for what you have done in our lives. We are forgiven because of what you have done; not for what we have done. [Jhn 1:16 NIV]…

GOD OF REVIVAL

GOD OF REVIVAL

GOD OF REVIVAL are three words that can change a life, a family, a community, a state, a country, and the entire WORLD. If only we would grasp the meaning of the word REVIVAL.  Important to realize, the word REVIVAL means an improvement in the condition or strength of something.  Another key point > “the awakening or quickening of God’s people to their true nature and purpose.” Robert Coleman. [2Ch 7:14 NIV] 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will…

BETWEEN THE PRAYER AND THE ANSWER

BETWEEN THE PRAYER AND THE ANSWER

BETWEEN THE PRAYER AND THE ANSWER brought tears to my eyes. To clarify, God knows what we need before we pray. He is a GOD of LOVE that hears our prayers and immediately goes to work to provide the answer with a miracle or THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE!!! As a result, that still small voice is GOD directing us to answer a prayer. Hallelujah and Amen!  GOD IS GOOD, all the time, AND all the time, GOD IS GOOD. HIS LOVE leads…

WE BELIEVE

WE BELIEVE

NewsBoys WE BELIEVE is another powerful song that brought tears to my eyes; it expresses my own personal BELIEFS. And as the pattern continues, this song reminded me of the movie GOD’s NOT DEAD 2 where the BELIEF in the lyrics sparked a court battle to defend a teacher’s RIGHT to BELIEF in her FAITH to share JESUS.  INSPIRATION We have a lot of flavors in this record, and I think “We Believe” says, all that aside, this is who we are….

A FATHER’S LOVE

A FATHER’S LOVE

A FATHER’S LOVE is amazing! God is our heavenly FATHER. He has NO GRANDCHILDREN!!! Once again, the Holy Spirit directed me to THIS SONG titled A FATHER’S LOVE. The lyrics touched my heart and what has become a pattern, it brought tears to my eyes. It’s an uptempo song that elaborates on the theme of  1 John 3:1: “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” It seems…

MY JESUS

MY JESUS

MY JESUS was inspired by a personal tragedy for Ann Wilson.  Anne Wilson and her family experienced a devastating tragedy. A hopeless situation forced Anne to evaluate who God really is. She had to make a decision if she believed God and if she could trust Him even when it didn’t make sense. Through processing this life event and learning to worship through hardship, God led Anne on a different journey than she expected. He is giving her the opportunity…

Love of God

Love of God

If we could just get a revelation of the unconditional love of God toward us and then allow it to flow through us into, first, our closest family members, and then into the church, and finally into the world, WOW!!! Revival! Don’t Pass Over the Love of God But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and…

I WON’T LET GO

I WON’T LET GO

I WON’T LET GO touched my heart. It is a reminder that GOD will not let go of us. We are His. As the Holy Spirit leads me, and I obey, I am BLESSED by the songs. The lyrics and the scriptures of this song, I WON’T LET GO, touched my heart. GOD WON’T LET GO of you and me. And the WORD confirms it continually!  The story behind the song written by Jason Sellers and Steve Robinson and sung…

I AM THE GOD THAT HEALETH THEE

I AM THE GOD THAT HEALETH THEE

Welcome to THANKSGIVING week.  The world sees it as a DAY, but Christians see it as an everyday recognition. When I ASKED (JOHN 14:13-14) the Holy SPIRIT for the theme of this week’s post, he brought back to my remembrance (JOHN 14:26) – I AM THE GOD THAT HEALETH THEE video.  Our HEALTH is in the NEWS around the world these days, and for some, our personal health, or the health of a loved one. For me, a loved one!  And when I…

PSALM 23 – MAKE IT PERSONAL

PSALM 23 – MAKE IT PERSONAL

In the middle of the night, the Holy Spirit woke me to his Psalm. And that awakening led me to his VIDEO and to make Psalm 23 personal.  PSALM 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He maketh ME to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth ME beside the still waters.3 He restoreth MY soul: he leadeth ME in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with ME; thy rod and thy staff…
