WOMAN AT THE WELL
Dear Lord, thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank you that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. WOMAN AT THE WELL. I heard a story from the Bible when I was just a little girl about a broken-hearted woman who met the Savior of the world at the well.
[Jhn 4:7-10 KJV] 7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. 8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
WOMAN AT THE WELL
WELL: a deep hole full of water
- Thought it was just another story
- One that the preacher man would read
- But as I’m sitting here at home
- Drinking red wine all alone
- I think that woman might be me
LIVING WATER
JESUS’ goal was to give LIVING WATER to everyone who asks. And He spoke to men and woman, in the most unlikely places and conditions to offer His LIVING WATER. People with all kinds of sins > nothing is hidden from him.
[Jhn 4:16-18 KJV] 16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. 17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: 18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
[Jhn 4:25-26 KJV] 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he].
IS NOT THIS THE CHRIST
The Woman at the Well met the CHRIST when He told her everything about herself.
[Jhn 4:29 KJV] 29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
Everyone comes to their moment in time that we BELIEVE HE IS THE CHRIST. And many times it is when we are at our lowest point.
- ‘Cause tonight I feel just like
- The woman at the well
- Wondering how someone could love me
- When I can’t love myself
- But You want me as I am and that sounds crazy
- I guess maybe that’s why grace is so amazing
- Staring at that empty bottle
- I swear I caught a glimpse of Him
- He met me right there at the bottom
- And turned that wine to living water
- And taught me how to love again
NO LONGER JUST A STORY
Just as Jesus KNEW He would be there at the moment she needed Him; He is here for us at our moment when we BELIEVE HE IS THE CHRIST.
ONCE WE BELIEVE, we have a TESTIMONY!!!!
We will hear the ‘liars voice’ trying to distract us from speaking to our modern day “woman and men” at their well. But we can follow in JESUS FOOTSTEPS, with determination, to lead them to His LIVING WATER.

[Jhn 4:39 KJV] 39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
Her thirst for LIVING WATER resulted in a HARVEST OF SOULS!
