Dear Lord, thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank you that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE.  WINGS TO FLY. There is a sweet by & by, waiting on us, there I know. When I can’t believe you’re gone and my heart feels so sad.

A powerful storm leveled a town in the central part of Mississippi where 25 were killed across the state, with another death reported in Alabama. 

This post is for those who lost loved ones in the tornado. After I read the news, the Holy Spirit (at 3:15 am) led me to this song. Tears flowed when I read the story, then when I watched this song and more tears flowed.

Loss is hard, and sad. But God promises us to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and in Heaven we will “know as we’re known”. Psalms 90:10 says we will fly from this life into eternity. In writing this song, I use the word wings metaphorically– how God enables our spirit to fly to him remains to be experienced! I wrote this song mourning the death of my first husband, Tommy Hucks…. Dear Lord, we pray for those in this midst of this heartbreaking time. God calls us to PRAY for others, so today, I challenge you to STOP and PRAY for those in Mississippi / Alabama who have lost just about everything, but most of all, their loved ones. 

GOD did not cause this tornado because it is NOT VERY GOOD. 

[Gen 1:31 KJV] 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good.  

When bad things happen to good people; God did not cause the storm, but He will comfort us through the storms. For those who call GOD, Daddy, Abba, Father and JESUS CHRIST, our LORD AND SAVIOR, we know Jesus is waiting with open arms to welcome and embrace us into our forever home.
