Watch That Tongue Of Yours
Watch That Tongue Of Yours
Watch that tongue of yours and think before you speak. We need to use our words wisely. The power we hold in that tongue of ours. The Bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue.
You can shift things when you use the right words. This applies to absolutely everything going on in your life. When you understand the power you hold with your words, you can speak over things and expect what youβre believing for.
Remember this most important lesson when you are about to speak to your children or loved ones. Or perhaps over your life, your job, or current health or financial situation. Your words can have a huge impact on each of these and can either lead you to a better place or down a road of destruction. You have the power to choose.
Words Are Powerful
There was a study done on a group of students of average intelligence who were βtoldβ they scored at a very high intelligence rate on their test. It effected them in such a way that they began to thrive at a greater level in school from that point forward.
Surely you have seen the examples of talking to plants, both positive and negative words and the plant that was spoken kindly to flourished while the other that received negative words withered away.
Words are powerful. God created the world with His spoken words. He gave us the ability to speak life or death over our situations. Discipline yourself to watch over your words as they are a weapon that can create or destroy depending on how you use them.
Quite often itβs our own mouth that keeps us in the situation we are so desperately wanting out of.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.
James 3:5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.
Proverbs 21:23 Whoever guards his mouth and tongue Keeps his soul from troubles
