Trust
How many can say it’s easy to trust God when things are going good?
Now how many of you can keep your hand up when a trial hits?
I tend to have a very analytical thought process, overthinking pretty much everything, and that can get a believer in a bit of a jam. Thank God for Romans 8:1 which says, “No condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus,” phew.
Trust in Tribulations
When you start looking at trials and challenges in the natural, trying to figure out how it happened and how will you get out of it, you have just appointed yourself in charge of that situation. This mindset essentially blocks God’s ability to intervene and help you as His Word promises.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. – Jhn 16:33 KJV
Doer of the Word
I will be the first to say this is not an easy thing to do, but any challenge that comes your way is an opportunity to allow God to prove His Word is true. Start with the small things so your faith can build stronger for the greater challenges. They will certainly come.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. – Jas 1:25 KJV
Nothing in the supernatural will make sense in the natural so there’s no point in trying to figure things out. Let God prove His faithfulness as you obey His Word and cast your cares over to Him. It’s most certainly a process, but because He is faithful, it gets easier with each one.
We will never fully understand everything- but because we know He is faithful and He loves us, we can never blame Him for anything that doesn’t go as we had hoped. He is a good good Father and we should always put our trust in Him.
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Isaiah 55:8-9
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
