THIS IS OUR GOD
Dear Lord, thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank you that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. THIS IS OUR GOD. Remember those walls that we called sin and shame? And, Remember those giants we called death and grave? Remember that fear that took our breath away?
Psa 19:1-14 NLT] 1 For the choir director: A psalm of David. The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. 2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. 3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. 4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. 5 It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. 6 The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.
7 The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living. 9 Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair. 10 They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
11 They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them. 12 How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. 13 Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
THIS IS OUR GOD
OUR: belonging to or associated with the speaker > THAT IS US!
- Who rescued me from that grave? Yahweh, Yahweh
- Who gets the glory and praise? Nobody but Jesus
- Who rescued me from that grave? Yahweh, Yahweh
- Who gets the glory and praise? Nobody but Him
Hallelujah and Amen, we can proclaim GOD as OURS! Glory to God! He knew us before we were born and He knew we would proclaim Him as OUR GOD, the ONE AND ONLY.
- This is our God
- This is who He is, He loves us
- He is our God
- This is what He does, He saves us
- Who pulled me out of that pit? He did, He did
- Paid for all of our sin? Nobody but Jesus
POWERFUL VERSES
I am always amazed that WORDS combined can create a picture that results in a SONG. A PRAISE song to OUR GOD, LORD, and HOLY SPIRIT. It is when we listen to that still, small voice that The Holy Spirit inspires us with His assignment that will bless the masses. I thank those who have this gift because it has certainly blessed my life. Not a singer, songwriter, or musician, I am grateful for those who are.
As we venture into this weekend, let’s take time to LISTEN to worship and praise songs that will lift our spirit and bring peace to our heart for a time. THEN, as the WORD tells us, continue with a STUDY of the WORD to show ourselves approved.
THANK YOU
Dear Lord, we thank you for the talents you gave to some of your children of singer, songwriter and musicians. Although we may not have the VOICES they do, we can still sing along, and God will receive our voices as blessings and a sweet sound to His ear. As we walk through the hours of this day, bring to our remembrance the lyrics of this song as a remembrance of what JESUS did for us on the cross. Put a pep in our steps and a smile on our face as we represent YOU today!
PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER because JESUS prayed for us!
In the POWER and AUTHORITY in Jesus name. Hallelujah and Amen!
