Your Identity In Christ

There is great power and victory in knowing your identity in Christ as a believer. Since the devil is aware of this, he loves to attack you in this area. The enemy knows if he can get you to question what God says about you, he can keep you defeated.

1 John 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

New Creation In Christ

As a believer, it is no longer you who live, but Christ in you. When you are born again, the old you who followed the ways of the world is gone. You are now a new creation in Christ committing to make Jesus the Lord of your life. God sends His Holy Spirit to live inside of you and He is there to guide you every step of the way. We may continue to make mistakes, but now we repent, turn from our sin and start again.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Renew Your Mind

It is essential to get into the Bible and renew your mind to the truth of who God created you to be. By doing this and spending time with Him, it is easier to trust and expect what His Word says. The more you know, the more you grow into the fullness of your identity in Christ. This makes it extremely difficult for the devil to come along and try to deceive you and have any power over you.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The Sword Of The Spirit

Get into the Word, the sword of the spirit, and start arming yourself with the truths that will shut down any attack of the enemy. Just as Jesus used scripture to cause the enemy to flee from Him in the wilderness, the Word can be your weapon of defense as well. The devil doesn’t stand a chance against a Holy Ghost-filled believer with the full knowledge of who they are in Christ. Arm yourself today with this power and knowledge and don’t let the devil bother you or your family again.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
