THE GARDEN
Dear Lord, thank You for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. THE GARDEN. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane. We’d walk right up to heaven and bring you back again.
THE GARDEN
[Phl 3:20-21 NIV] 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
[Jhn 3:16 NIV] 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- It broke our hearts to lose you
- But you did not go alone
- For part of us went with you
- The day God called you home
- God looked around his garden
- And he found an empty place
- Then he looked down upon the earth
- And he saw your precious face
- He put his arms around you
- And he lifted you to rest
When we lose a loved one, it breaks our hearts. We shed tears of loss because we loved them. But God did not give us life on earth for eternity. This earth is a temporary home in preparation for our eternal home. Although we shed tears of loss, deep in our heart we rejoice knowing our loved one is in their eternal home >>> being welcomed in to the Father’s house where they are many mansions.
[Jhn 14:1-3 KJV] 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
- God’s garden must be beautiful
- He always takes the best
- Yes, he always takes the best
HALLLUJAH AND AMEN! When we accept Jesus into our hearts, we have the assurance that we will WALK in the GARDEN with Jesus when we are called home. EVERYONE on earth will face the day of death >>> where we go depends upon the decision we made about receiving Jesus’ precious gift of salvation while we were on earth!
PERSONAL TESTIMONY
ON A PERSONAL NOTE: I lost a beloved brother-in-law this week. He lived a life of “overcoming” with his Cerebral Palsy and cancer. When we think about God’s promises, we tend to focus on the blessings: forgiveness, mercy, and eternal life, to name a few. But Jesus promised us something else as well: “You will have suffering in this world.” But his determination and sense of humor was his trademark. One quote that always makes our family chuckle, “I FEEL WITH MY HANDS” was a comment he made to the doctor after a horrible accident when he asked him, “HOW DO YOU FEEL?” He knew the Lord, and I know he is in HEAVEN with Jesus, but my tears still fall and my heart is broken. His life was intertwined with mine and for this FAMILY HISTORIAN, I created a slideshow to be shown at his Memorial of his life showcasing the JOY he brought to our family. As I heard the lyrics in this song, my heart “smiled” as I saw him through my “spiritual eyes” being embraced by Jesus loving arms.
- We knew that you were suffering
- We knew you were in pain
- We knew you’d never get well
- On this earth again
When we think about God’s promises, we tend to focus on the blessings: forgiveness, mercy, and eternal life, to name a few. But Jesus promised us something else as well: “You will have suffering / trials / tribulations” in this world.”
[Jhn 16:33 KJV] 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
- So he closed your weary eyes, and
- He whispered, “Peace be thine”
- Then he took you up to heaven
- So gentle, so kind
HE ALWAYS TAKES THOSE WHO RECEIVED HIS SALVATION
- God looked around his garden
- And he found an empty place
- Then he looked down upon the earth
- And he saw your precious face
- He put his arms around you
- And he lifted you to rest
- God’s garden must be beautiful
- He always takes the best
- Oh, God’s garden must be beautiful
- He always takes the best
Praise the Lord, my brother-in-law is no longer in pain and is WALKING the streets with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
ETERNITY
IF you have not accepted Jesus into your heart, now it is the time. He is waiting to hear from you. In a moment, your life can change from a sinner to Christian!
OPEN YOU HEART to your SAVIOR.
THANK YOU
Dear Lord, we thank You for Your WORD that provides comfort and assurance that our “saved” loves ones, and ourselves one day, will be embraced in Your loving arms. AND, that we will hear, “WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!” In His eyes, all who accept His FREE GIFT are His BEST …”He always takes the best” home to live eternity with Him. While we are still on earth, we thank The Holy Spirit for being our Comforter and Teacher through the remaining days of our lives. We are never alone, PSALM 91:15, tells us …
[Psa 91:15-16 KJV] 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
