Dear Lord, thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank you that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. PSALM 91 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

PSALM 91

[Psa 91:1-16 KJV] 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day; 6 [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.

PSALM: a sacred song or hymn.

The Holy Spirit has continued to speak to me about Psalm 91 this week.  Reading Psalm 91, His Secret Place, His Shadow and The Mystery of His Protection by Daniel C. Okpara, has opened my eyes and heart to the LOVE and PROTECTION that pours out of this Psalm to us. God inspired the WORD to be written to GUIDE us through this earthly life. There is no question that is not answered in the WORD. It is our GUIDEBOOK of life.  

I was then reminded of the old clique > WHEN THE STUDENT IS READY, THE TEACHER WILL APPEAR!  Well, obviously for me, this is that time. Although I have read this Psalm many times, I am ready to TRUST in its meaning for me. 

TRUST: firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

A THOUSAND SHALL FALL AT THY SIDE

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

ABIDE UNDER THE SHADOW

BECAUSE HE HAS SET HIS LOVE UPON ME AND YOU! His LOVE is our PROTECTION. 

DO YOU WANT EVERYTHING PROMISED IN PSALM 91 TO WORK WITHOUT FAILING?  Then love God with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind. Make Him first in everything you do.

[Rom 12:9 NIV] 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Dear Lord, thank you for your WORDS of LOVE and PROTECTION over our lives. Empower us today to follow Your path for our lives. Teach us how to love You with all our soul, with all our spirit, and with all our strength.  You created us for a time such as this; we are ready to believe and receive all You have planned for our lives. We surrender our lives to you this day to make You the FIRST in everything we do!
