PSALM 18 HE DELIGHTS IN ME
Dear Lord, thank You for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. PSALM 18 HE DELIGHTS IN ME. I will love You, O Lord, my strength. My rock, my fortress, by strength. I love You O, Lord, my strength.
[Psa 18:46-50 KJV] 46 v47 [It is] God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me. 48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. 49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. 50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
PSALM 18 HE DELIGHTS IN ME
PSALM: a sacred song or hymn, in particular any of those contained in the biblical Book of Psalms and used in Christian and Jewish worship.
DELIGHTS: extreme pleasure or satisfaction.
- My God, my strength in whom I trust.
- My shield, and the power that saved me, my stronghold.
- I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from my enemies.
GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD! A quote from the GOD’s NOT DEAD movies. The HOLY SPIRIT is taking me on a journey through the PSALMS and WOW is my reaction to what I am seeing this time. I’ve read them many times in my Christian walk, but NEVER to really studied them for the message He has for me.
PSALM 18
PSALM 18 is 50 verses of David’s response to God answering that prayer for deliverance from his enemies. He wrote Psalm 18 because he got it, and as a result, he praises the Lord for that deliverance.
- I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from my enemies.
- The cords of death were wrapped around, the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
- In my anguish I called on Yahweh, my cry came before Him, into His temple.
- He set me free because He delights in me.
- The Lord dealth with me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands
- He rewarded me, for I have kept the ways of the Lord
- When we keep our eyes and heart focused on the Lord, he rewards us with victory over our enemies.
- With the merciful, You’ll show Yourself merciful
- With the blameness man, You’ll show Yourself blameless
- With the purified, You show Yourself pure
- For all this I praise You, O Lord, among the nations
- And I will sing to Your name
- Great victory He gives to His King
- To His anointed ones
- Forever more
HOW OFTEN
How often do we PRAISE GOD for the victories He has given us? David was not PERFECT, he sinned, but GOD is a forgiving God when we humble ourselves before him. Today is the day we look at ourselves as a CHILD of GOD who loves us, forgives us, blesses us and gives us VICTORIES over the enemy.
ETERNITY
IF you have not accepted Jesus into your heart, now it is the time. He is waiting to hear from you. In a moment, your life can change from a sinner to Christian!
OPEN YOU HEART to your SAVIOR.
THANK YOU
Dear Lord, as David praised You for his victory, we praise You for the victories in our lives. When we think about our enemies, remind us that YOU already defeated them for us. When we study to show ourselves approved (2 Tim 2:15), and when we pray and worship You from our heart, we know YOU WILL PROVIDE the victory for us. You will bless us with unmerited favor that will open doors of opportunities to showcase the talents You have given us, and close doors that will harm us. As David’s talent were as a leader / warrior / soldier > You used those talents along with Your blessings, and his emenmies were defeated. God is no respecter of persons and if He DID It FOR DAVID, He will do the same for us! Halleluhah and Amen to the glory of God in Jesus name.
