ONLY JESUS

Dear Lord, thank You for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. ONLY JESUS. Make it count, leave a mark, build a name for yourself. Dream your dreams, chase your heart, above all else. Make a name the world remembers. But all an empty world can sell is empty dreams. I got lost in the light when it was up to me. To make a name the world remembers. But Jesus is the only name to remember!

[Jhn 3:16 KJV] 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

ONLY JESUS

ONLY: solely or exclusively.

[Gal 2:20 KJV] 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

As the Family Historian, this song and images touched my heart. As I look around my office, I see JESUS everywhere in these four walls. HE IS THE LEGACY I am creating by being obedient to His still small voice and sharing the MESSAGE OF THE CROSS through my writing, photography, and scrapbooks. Each word, picture and page were created by the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

And I, I don’t want to leave a legacy
I don’t care if they remember me
Only Jesus
And I, I’ve only got one life to live
I’ll let every second point to Him

All the kingdoms built, all the trophies won
Will crumble into dust when it’s said and done

‘Cause all that really mattered
Did I live the truth to the ones I love?
Was my life the proof that there is only One
Whose name will last forever?

[Eph 5:16-17 KJV] 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is].

Jesus is the only name
Jesus is the only name to remember

And I, I’ve only got one life to live

The greatest legacy which Jesus bequeathed to his followers. was undoubtedly the legacy of himself. It was the transcendent. personality of Christ that dominated not only his contemporaries. but all the later converts in the Apostolic age.

[Gen 1:26 KJV] 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

There is only one name to remember that can OFFER THE FREE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE >>> JESUS! That is the name we want others to remember when they remember us.
