NO HOLD ON ME is a LOUD and CLEAR message we need to PROCLAIM from the mountain tops regarding the devil.
Once again, the Holy Spirit led me to this song out of the thousands on youtube.com. WOW! He knows what we need before we need it, and HE supplies!!! Amen.
INSPIRATION
What inspired Matty to pen these lyrics?
Having battled anxiety and depression for half my life I understand there are moments when it feels like the darkness has an unshakeable grip. It’s what inspired me to write the song, “No Hold On Me.” The song is an anthem and proclamation declaring victory over fear in Jesus Christ.
A verse I often find myself going back to is Exodus 14:14 which says “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” What a blessing it is to know that in times of worry or stress, God is fighting for us, & we are called to rest in that!

A PATTERN
In fact, I noticed a pattern in what inspires the writers of these powerful songs. In my opinion, it is from the depths of despair that the lyrics provide comfort that GOD IS LOVE. He sees broken hearts and provides a way of healing through WORDS!! WORDS have the POWER to destroy and to HEAL.
OUR JOURNEY BEGINS
So, with that said, let’s take our journey through Matty’s HEALING lyrics

FATHER OF LIES
In other words, The DEVIL is the Father of LIES. And until we get ourselves into the WORD OF GOD, we will believe his lies because we do not know the TRUTH.
THE TRUTH SETS US FREE. THE LIES BIND US and PUT US IN BONDAGE.
Notice the lyrics – DEVIL THOUGHT and then I THOUGHT. Our thoughts can OVERCOME THE DEVIL’S THOUGHTS!

CONSIDER THE MEANING OF WORDS
SHACKLES > a pair of fetters connected together by a chain, used to fasten a prisoner’s wrists or ankles together.
PRISONER > a person legally held in prison as a punishment for crimes they have committed or while awaiting trial.
All things considered, think about these two words. The DEVIL keeps our wrists or ankles bound, but also our MINDS and HEART in prison when we believe on him. AND, sad to say, many give him PERMISSION TO DO SO!

A NEW DELIVERY SYSTEM
The Holy Spirit is working a new “delivery system” in me! My last article, “WHO AM I?” combined a song with the movie, OVERCOMER.

As a result of this song, another movie immediately came to mind … WAR ROOM! Another POWERFUL message on defeating the devil.

Given these points, there are two scenes I want to share with you that will INSPIRE you to be a prayer warrior. To TAKE YOUR AUTHORITY OVER THE DEVIL!

- I don’t know where you are, Devil, but I know you can hear me. You have played with my mind and had your way long enough! No more! You are done!
- Jesus is the Lord of this house, and that means there’s no place for you here anymore!
- So take your lies, your schemes, and your accusations and get out in Jesus’ name! You can’t have my marriage, you can’t have my daughter and you sure can’t have my man!
- This house is under new management and that means you are out!
- And another thing, I am so sick of you stealing my joy, but that’s changing too. My joy doesn’t come from my friends, it doesn’t come from my job, it even doesn’t come from my husband. My joy is found in Jesus, and just in case you forgot, he has already defeated you, so go back to Hell where you belong and leave my family alone!

THE FINAL SCENE
In the final analysis, this movie will touch your heart. It reminds us of the words, “YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN, LORD, YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN!” GRAB YOUR TISSUES!!!

You keep taking care of me when I don’t deserve it.
Praise you, Jesus! You are Lord!
Give me another one, Lord. Guide me to who You want me to help. Raise up more that will call upon Your name. Raise up more who will seek You and trust Your name. Lord. Raise them up.
Lord, we need a generation of believers who are not ashamed of the gospel. We need an army of believers who hate to be lukewarm and will stand on Your Word above all else.
I pray for unity among those who love You that You will open their eyes so they can see the truth. And, I pray for Your hand of protection and guidance.
Raise up a generation who will take light into this world, who won’t compromise under pressure, that won’t cower, Lord, when others fall away. Raise them up, Lord. They will proclaim that there is Salvation in the name of Jesus Christ!
Raise up warriors, Lord, who will fight on their knees and worship You with their whole hearts, Lord. Lord, call us to battle that we may proclaim King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
I pray these things with all my heart,
