MY WORTH IS NOT IN WHAT I OWN
Dear Lord, thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank you that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. MY WORTH IS NOT IN WHAT I OWN. Not in the strength of flesh and bone. But in the costly wounds of love. At the cross. My worth is not in skill or name. In win or lose, in pride or shame. But in the blood of Christ that flowed. At the cross.
[Mat 6:26 KJV] 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
MY WORTH IS NOT IN WHAT I OWN
WORTH: As a creation of God, we possess inherent value from the beginning of our life, and salvation is just the culmination of our worth.
Jesus’ command to His followers was to NOT store up wealth for themselves on earth, but to store up “treasure” in heaven. How do we do this? By living righteously out of sincere devotion to God. He asked a pointed question: Are you not more valuable than birds? He will provide all our needs according to His riches in glory.
- My worth is not in what I own
- Not in the strength of flesh and bone
- But in the costly wounds of love
- At the cross
- My worth is not in skill or name
- In win or lose, in pride or shame
- But in the blood of Christ that flowed
- At the cross
- As summer flowers we fade and die
- Fame, youth and beauty hurry by
- But life eternal calls to us
- At the cross
I WILL REJOICE IN MY REDEEMER
Our Redeemer LIVES and because He does, we know where our worth and wealth comes from. Our wealth comes from the CROSS. Jesus paid the price for EVERYTHING!!!
- I will not boast in wealth or might
- Or human wisdom’s fleeting light
- But I will boast in knowing Christ
- At the cross
- And I will trust in him, no other
- My soul is satisfied in him alone
THANK YOU
Dear Lord, thank You for reminder that OUR WORTH is NOT IN WHAT WE OWN. What we OWN on earth can be fleeting; here today and gone tomorrow. But our HEAVENLY WORTH is forever! Hallelujah and Amen to the glory of GOD. You are our greatest treasure, the wellspring of our soul. When we trust in YOU, and You alone, our soul is satisfied. As Paul reminds us:
[Phl 4:12-13 KJV] 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
My worth is not in skill or name. In win or lose, in pride or shame. But in the blood of Christ that flowed at the cross, the costly wounds of love at the cross.
We REJOICE in You today as our Savior, Provider and Healer. You are the WEALTH of our lives!
PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER because JESUS prayed for us!
In the POWER and AUTHORITY in Jesus name. Hallelujah and Amen!
