MY JESUS
MY JESUS was inspired by a personal tragedy for Ann Wilson.
Anne Wilson and her family experienced a devastating tragedy. A hopeless situation forced Anne to evaluate who God really is. She had to make a decision if she believed God and if she could trust Him even when it didn’t make sense. Through processing this life event and learning to worship through hardship, God led Anne on a different journey than she expected. He is giving her the opportunity to share her story and to give hope and encouragement to others who are in difficult times.
This experience also inspired Anne’s song “My Jesus”. The song is a worshipful tribute to her Heavenly Father that demonstrates her desire for people to know that Jesus can help us through any situation we are going through. It also reminds us that God uses our trials, so we can help others and tell our story of how God works in our lives.
A SONG THAT TOUCHED MY HEART
The Holy Spirit led me to this song because it is what YOUWILLWANTTO shares with the world. It is personal music, scripture, teachings, and testimonials about MY JESUS. The word “personal” truly describes the lyrics. It reminds me of God’s revelation of Psalm 23 and that inspired the article Psalm 23 – MAKE IT PERSONAL.
In fact, GOD gifts His children with PERSONAL TALENTS to GIFT the WORLD with the GOSPEL. Once we recognize our TALENT, we can share it with the world to bring glory to the Father. Whereas, once we recognize the talent, it will change our lives. We become focused to study to show ourselves approved to bring HONOR and GLORY to God (2 Timothy 2:15).
Therefore, MY JESUS is PERSONAL. The word MY is an affectionate term about SELF. When we say MY spouse, children, grandchildren, etc, it is a term of endearment (expressing love or affection). Likewise, when we say MY JESUS, we tell the WORLD of our LOVE for the SON OF GOD who died for me. Who suffered at the CROSS for my sins.
A JOURNEY THROUGH THE LYRICS
In fact, we are going to take a journey through the lyrics to understand and appreciate Ann’s HEART when she wrote this song. You will see a scripture and song attached to each section of her lyrics (Holy Spirit inspired).
- Are you past the point of weary?
- Is your burden weighin’ heavy?
- Is it all too much to carry?
Psa 69:3 KJV I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
- Let me tell you ’bout my Jesus
In fact, Jesus never said the road would be easy. He spoke of all the ways the world would affect us. He knew that we would struggle to hold on to him in a world that can be cold. When we face feelings of emptiness, it is usually because our hearts have grown heavy.
- Do you feel that empty feeling?
- ‘Cause shame’s done all its stealin’
- And you’re desperate for some healin’
Psa 28:7 KJV – [7] The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
GOD’S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT
- He makes a way where there ain’t no way
- Rises up from an empty grave
- Ain’t no sinner that He can’t save
Isa 43:16 KJV – [16] Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
- His love is strong and His grace is free
- And the good news is I know that He
- Can do for you what He’s done for me
Eph 2:8-9 KJV -[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should
- And let my Jesus change your life
- Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Amen, Amen
To clarify, to praise joyously In the Hebrew Bible, it is a compound word, from hallelu, meaning “to praise joyously,” and yah, a shortened form of the unspoken name of God. So this “hallelujah” is an active imperative, an instruction to the listener or congregation to sing tribute to the Lord.
HALLELUJAH AND AMEN
- AMEN
So, the basic meaning of the Semitic root from which it is derived is “firm,” “fixed,” or “sure,” and the related Hebrew verb also means “to be reliable” and “to be trusted.” The Greek Old Testament usually translates amen as “so be it”; in the English Bible it has frequently been rendered as “verily,” or “truly.”
- Who can wipe away the tears
- From broken dreams and wasted years
- And tell the past to disappear? Oh
Rev 21:4 KJV– [4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
GOD KNOWS OUR HEART CONDITION
- And all the wrong turns that you would
- Go and undo if you could
- Who can work it all for your good
Phl 1:6 KJV – [6] Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:
HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD WORK IN YOU
- Who would take my cross to Calvary?
- Pay the price for all my guilty?
- Who would care that much about me?
Rom 5:5-9 KJV – [5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. [6] For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. [7] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him
MY JESUS MY SAVIOR
- Let me tell you ’bout my Jesus, oh
- And let my Jesus change your life
Jhn 3:16 KJV – [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jhn 10:10 KJV – [10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.
To summarize this song, through tragedy, GOD created a BLESSING to the WORLD through Ann Wilson and her HEART of pain. This song, as of today, has touched 1,039,168 people and continues to grow.
In conclusion, when we experience “heart-breaking” times of our lives, GOD HAS A PLAN to restore our HEART. It was Ann’s relationship with her Heavenly Father that you listened to this song and read this article.
