LETTERS TO GOD
DEAR MR. GOD was written specifically for the LETTERS TO GOD movie. It sounds so professional. But the meaning is still POWERFUL and LOVING. DEAR means regarded with deep affection; cherished by someone. MR. is used before the name of an office to address a man who holds it. GOD means creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being. This salutation > to address the person being written to, addresses the receiver of the LETTER with great HONOR, RESPECT, APPRECIATION and LOVE.
I AM THINKING ABOUT YOU
In essence, I am AMAZED at the worship song / movie that The Holy Spirit leads me to. They always speak to my heart! Dear Mr. God touched my heart because it is part of my ministry. Every week I send “personally created cards” to a group of HIS CHOSEN children. Not a BILL requesting MONEY, but a heartfelt card that basically says, “I am thinking about YOU!” Specifically, to family members in Assisted Living and Nursing Homes. GOD SPEAKS to people through US. And when we can put a smile on their face, we are reminding them that GOD LOVES THEM.

The Warren Brothers wrote this song for the 2010 movie LETTERS TO GOD. “We tried to be honest when writing this song. If we were writing a letter to GOD, what would we really say to Him? A lot of faith-based songs are about ‘we worship you,’ and I miss people. I wanted to write it from the standpoint if you were not raised in church and just believed in God. If you were basically going to sit down and ask Him some honest questions and be real honest with Him, what would you say?

Without a doubt, I BELIEVE this is GOD’s plan for this season of my life. He continually speaks to me weekly with the song and movie, and this week > the SONG > Dear Mr. GOD, was written for the MOVE > LETTERS TO GOD. Praise GOD!
INSPIRATION
LETTERS TO GOD is based on the true story of Tyler Doherty, who was played in the film by Tanner Maguire. Inspired by a true story, Letters to God is an intimate, moving and often funny story about the galvanizing effect one child’s belief can have on his family.
Not only am I IMPRESSED, but also deeply moved by the performance of the child who portrays the real TYLER. Not to mention, the depth of his emotions for his mother, brother, grandmother, and friends.

This movie was inspired by a TRUE FAMILIES STRUGGLES with their eight-year-old son, TYLER, who was diagnosed with brain cancer.

This boy was put on earth with a message, and his message was LOVE. A beacon that draws non-believers to you and want to know what the difference is. And we all know that is Jesus.

GOD USED FOR GOOD

Another point to remember, Tyler suffered for a short time but he is now in HEAVEN walking the streets of GOLD for eternity. In fact, his short life became an inspiration to the WORLD to lead one to the SAVIOR.

TYLER’S FATHER PRAYER WITH CAST
Heavenly Father,
I thank you for this day. I thank you for bringing each one of these individuals together on his beautiful project. Father, I ask that you use this film to minister to millions around the world.
Lord, I pray and ask that if any one does not know you, to use this experience through our witnessing to be that light on the hill, that beacon, that everything we do glorifies you.
Allow us to film scenes that are supposed to be filmed and now that we are doing this for you and to glorify you.
I ask all this things in your precious name. Amen.
MAKE YOUR LETTERS TO GOD PERSONAL
In essence, Tyler demonstrates the way GOD wants to hear our prayers > from a personal relationship. Notice he addressed his letters, DEAR GOD because he had a personal relations with him. For the lost, the more formal DEAR MR. GOD is showcased in the song. As a matter of fact, his prayers are always about SOMEONE specific. Of which, you will see revealed through Brady, the CHOSEN POSTMAN, when his life was transformed by his relationship with Tyler.
In fact, this movie reminded me that when we make our prayers PERSONAL about another, we should pray to GOD for them by name and their current situation. God knows them by name, but he also wants us to pray for them by name because we care enough to take their need to GOD IN PRAYER.
REVELATION CHANGED MY LIFE
This REVELATION changed MY LIFE. To emphasize, God led me to create a WORSHIP / PRAYER TEXT to reach out to his CHOSEN for a time such as this. That is to say, He inspired me to address my PRAYERS to them by their NAME. WOW! Such an impact on my life and theirs. Therefore, it changed how I respond when people ask me to PRAY for them. I IMMEDIATELY PRAY for them by name to GOD with their specific need. I don’t DELAY or say I WILL and DON’T anymore!!!!
To point out, STOP for a moment and think about how you feel when people call you by name! Specifically, when people pray for you by your name, does it make you feel like they really heard your heart and you were taking to GOD for them.

TYLERS’ LETTERS TO GOD TREASURE CHEST
In summary, Tyler’s prayers to GOD were conversations with GOD! To put it another way, they were Personal conversations that SHOW US how we are to talk with our HEAVENLY FATHER.

- God, first day back at school was exciting. We all ended up in the principal’s office. (His best friend, SAM, pushed ALEX’s face into his mashed potatoes after he made the comment, “Will you look like an alien” to Tyler). As an illustration, during the drive home with Tyler and Sam (Samatha), she retold the story to Tyler’s mom and she laughed). Now I know you are getting my letters because only you could make her laugh! We got home just as the mailman got to our house. I guess all the excitement got to me as I puked on his shoes. God, it was a very good day.

ARNOLD PALMER HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN
As a matter of fact, the hospital scenes of his movie were filmed at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
To point out, we can only image what a parent goes through when their child is diagnosed with a terminal disease.
LOST OF A CHILD > Is a resource to assist in dealing with this overwhelming emotional rollercoaster How does a parent cope with the loss of a child? How do families fight the terrifying battle against cancer? Where do we find a path of hope through great sorrow and unimaginable pain?
NOT JUST A MOVIE IT IS A MINISTRY
In summary, DEAR MR. GOD > LETTERS TO GOD is not just a movie you watch once. I watched it THREE TIMES to glean what God wanted me to showcase to you. And GOD opened my ears to new revelations with each viewing.
Most compelling evidence, REVELATIONS change lives. Expressly for ONE EIGHT-YEAR OLD BOY, his revelations of HOW MUCH GOD LOVED HIM left a legacy of his life. Hence, Not a ‘WILL FULLED WITH WHO GETS WHAT’, but a legacy of ministry to lead one to Christ.

In the final analysis, DEAR MR. GOD > LETTERS TO GOD is praying without ceasing. Thus, No formal form or words, just OPEN YOUR HEART and share with GOD as if HE were your BEST FRIEND!
With this in mind, I want to share my LETTERS TO GOD. As an AVID user of the HALLMARK app to create personal cards, I want to CHALLENGE ALL OF US to write a LETTER (written communication) TO GOD and mail it with a stamp (I KNOW THE PRICE INCREASES TO 60 cents in July, but consider it a donation to GOD’s MINISTRY!) In fact, I MAILED MINE TODAY!!!
Let’s PRAY for the LOST TO FIND JESUS. Let’s FLOOD the Post Office with evidence that we have seen this movie and we are praying for each other.
