Let Him Be Accursed
Accusers say I am harsh! Paul says that if we or an angel from heaven or anyone preach any other gospel to you than what you have received from us, let him be accursed. He says this not once, but twice!
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. – Galatians 1:8-9 KJV
Accursed
Anathema is the root word translated as “accursed” here in these two verses (Blue Letter Bible). It can mean being excommunicated or doomed to destruction.
Dude! That’s harsh!
How could Paul say such a thing? Let him be accursed, excommunicated, or doomed to destruction!
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear [thee, then] take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell [it] unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. – Matthew 18:15-18 KJV

Let Him Be…Accursed!
“Let him be unto you as a heathen man and a publican is synonymous with being excommunicated or accursed!
My mentors told me that if someone is eating corn chips, don’t give them a steak. At that time, I was the one “eating corn chips.” That is when I started breaking free from depending on other people. I knew I had to step up and start taking responsibility for myself.
Understanding Responsibility
There is a difference in giving someone a hand up and a handout.
How do I know the difference?
You Can Hear God’s Voice
Both can cost you! In Luke 14:25-27, 28-30, and 31-33, Jesus tells us to count the cost. Jesus sums up this teaching with what sounds like “Let him be accursed or cast out or not fit for the dunghill (Luke 14:34-35)!”
Let Him Be…
Below are some more verses telling us to let them be. Also, we can ask ourselves if we are “eating any of these corn chips.”
But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. – 1 Corinthians 14:38 KJV
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. – Revelation 22:11 KJV
Faithful Saints
Let’s not be ignorant, unjust, or filthy. Be righteous and holy faithful saints!
Anathema Maranatha
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. – 1 Corinthians 16:22 KJV
Maranatha means an exclamation of the approaching divine judgment. So, this is very harsh.
To me, it sounds as if Paul is saying “Let him be accursed in or unto the final judgment.”
People have a choice. You and I have choices to make every day. We also have an enemy who wants to destroy us and our testimony.
Read James 4.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7 KJV
The Enemy (Revelation 12:9-10)
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. – Revelation 12:11 KJV

You Will Want To change the world! You can do ALL things through Christ who gives you strength (Philippians 4:13)! What are the desires of your heart?
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. – Psalm 37:4 KJV
