IT’S STILL THE CROSS

IT’S STILL THE CROSS

IT’S STILL THE CROSS

Dear Lord, thank You for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father; and we thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. IT’S STILL THE CROSS. The lonely night, the agony, the crying in Gethsemane.  The Lord of life would face His death, and willingly God’s wrath accept.

[Luk 23:33-34 KJV] 33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. 34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

[1Pe 2:24 KJV] 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

IT’S STILL THE CROSS

STILL: staying the same

  • It’s still the cross; its’s till the blood;
  • It’s still His dying act of love
  • compelling me to spend my life
  • in giving ev’rything for Chris,
  • The Roman scourge, the mockery,
  • the hanging curse of Calvary.
  • The Lord of life pursued His death
  • and satisfied the sinner’s debt.

THE CROSS are two powerful words that provided our salvation. Where would we be without THE CROSS that symbolizes our eternal home is secure when our days on earth are finished?

WE WOULD HAVE NO HOPE and NO FUTURE that we would every see JESUS FACE-TO-FACE. For the world, there are two holidays a year that JESUS is thought about > Christmas (His BIRTH) and Easter (His DEATH and RESURRECTION).  For many these are the only two times we think about WHO JESUS IS. HOW SAD!  And, then there are those who also thank about Jesus at church on Sunday as well. But again, they may think about him from a head stead point > “I DID MY DUTY!” without any heart connection. HOW SAD

And then we have a 3rd group of people, BORN AGAIN FROM THE HEART, that think about Him daily.

Which GROUP do you belong to?

FIRE FOR GOD

THE TRIUMPH OF THE CROSS

  • The brilliant light, the stone removed,
  • the echo of His empty tomb.
  • The Lord of life had banished death’
  • Its fatal sting a vacant threat. Chorus
  • The greatest love, the sacrifice,
  • the triumph of the cross of Christ.
  • The Lord of life demands my death
  • to live for Him with ev’ry breath.
