God Blessed Them and Told Them to be Prosperous!

God Blessed Them and Told Them to be Prosperous!

The very first thing God said to Adam and Eve after He created them in His own image and blessed them was “Be fruitful and multiply.” That’s exactly right. God blessed them and told them to be prosperous! Hallelujah!

Money is Not Evil

Money and material possessions are actually amoral. Along with television and other technologies and materials, money can be used for good or evil. Money is a tool. The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil.

God wants you to have an abundance for every good work. The good Samaritan would not have been as successful if he had been poor. Judas wouldn’t have been able to steal from Jesus if Jesus didn’t have an abundance for Judas to skim off the top.

Jesus Became Poor

Jesus became poor on the cross. It was at this moment that He suffered extreme poverty, being naked and thirsty. Jesus became poor so that we might be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). This is a reality whether you believe and receive it or if you choose to doubt and do without it. I have done both, and I am enjoying God’s way more and more every day!

Adam and Eve? God blessed them and told them to be prosperous, and that is what He is telling us today too.

Working and Serving are Blessings

In the beginning, God put Adam in the garden and told him to dress it and to keep it. God blessed Adam with paradise and then gave him a job to do. Having a purpose in working and serving is a blessing!

Why does God give us the power to get wealth?

Our Father has blessed us and given us the power to get wealth so that we can work and serve others. He has blessed us to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2)! God delights in the prosperity of His servants (Psalm 35:27).

Then Why Aren’t We Prospering?

We have given in to the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life that we are tempted with daily. That temptation coupled with our own lack of intimate relationship with God has caused us to think of working and serving as a curse. We have focused on meeting our own wants and needs, and we have inadvertently become slaves to lenders and our own appetites.

Seek First the Kingdom of God

How do we begin again? Seek first God and His kingdom, and He will reveal everything to you. Become intentional about fellowshipping with God through reading the Bible and meditating on what God says. Surround yourself with people who are already doing this and who are already experiencing God’s best in their own lives.

Andrew Wommack has materials on his website that have strongly encouraged me in the Lord. Because I had read the Bible numerous times, I knew immediately when listening to these teachings that they were straight from the Bible.

So why was the benefit of just reading the Bible without these teachings so limited?

Even the Devil Knows the Scriptures

Even Satan knows God’s word, and he believes in God. The difference is whether or not we believe God!

Believe God

Believing God is the first key. The entire Bible is pointing to Jesus and His death, burial, and resurrection. That is the gospel, the almost too good to be true news! Any other perspective will skew your understanding.

You Will Want To

The entire purpose of this website and my ministry is to point people to Jesus and His great love and passion for humanity. He is the Source of all life, and He wants us to have it in abundance. He has already equipped us and given us a physical book telling us everything we need to know.

There is only one person who can stand in your way of walking in the abundant life Jesus wants you to have: YOU!

Delight yourself in the Lord and YouWillWantTo be prosperous!
