Find Grace
How did Noah find grace?
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. – Gen 6:8 KJV
He found grace in the eyes of the LORD by being a just man and righteous in all of his ways.
Right?
NO!
Noah Walked with God
These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God. – Gen 6:9 KJV
Noah was just and perfect in his generation because Noah walked with God. Birds of a feather flock together. If you want to be just like someone, you make a point to hang out with them. You watch them and study them. Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD because Noah was seeking God.
Grace to ALL Men!
Titus 2:11 tells us that the grace of God is available to all men. The grace of God is and always has been available to all men. The grace of God teaches us!
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, – Tit 2:11 KJV
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; – Tit 2:12 KJV
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; – Tit 2:13 KJV
GRACE BE TO YOU AND PEACE
No Respecter of Persons.
Romans 2:11, Acts 10:34, and 2 Chronicles 19:7 all agree that God is no respecter of persons.
Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD because Noah was looking!
Seek Me!
Jeremiah 29:12, Psalm 14:2, 53:2, 69:32, and Deuteronomy 4:29 all tell us to seek God!
God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were [any] that did understand, that did seek God. – Psa 53:2 KJV
When we understand that God has already provided everything we need and want, we will seek Him with everything we have. When we seek Him, we will find every good and perfect gift that He is just waiting to lavish on us!
Few Find It
Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. – Mat 7:14 KJV
Few find God because few are seeking Him. We cannot find grace without seeking God. Or find healing without seeking the Healer. We will not find prosperity without seeking the Provider.
And they remembered that God [was] their rock, and the high God their redeemer. – Psa 78:35 KJV
Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues. – Psa 78:36 KJV
For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant. – Psa 78:37 KJV
Jesus talks about this very thing in Matthew 7:21-23!
Don’t Limit God
Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. – Psa 78:41 KJV
We tend to want to focus on the works instead of faith in what God actually says. Faith in what the Bible says naturally produces good works (Romans 10:17). Are you enjoying your relationship with God and His good works (1 Timothy 6:17, Matthew 5:16)?
Ask, Seek, Find Grace
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: – Mat 7:7 KJV
The more you seek God and His goodness and acknowledge His kingdom and Spirit that are already in every born-again believer, the more you will want to find grace!
