EVERYDAY MIRACLES
EVERYDAY MIRACLES. Two words that captured my attention and drew me into the song. But the EVERYDAY word really touched my heart. How often do we take for granted the EVERYDAY MIRACLES that God places in our life that we fail to recognize or appreciate?
EVERYDAY: happening or used every day.
As I thought on this word, I was reminded of the precious EVERYDAY MIRACLES we experience and yet, don’t appreciate.
WE …
- WAKE UP to a new day that the Lord has made.
- SPEAK to one another because we had the ability to do so.
- SEE the beauty of the SKY as we look up to heaven.
- HEAR the words of someone God placed in our lives.
And the list goes on and on. The little things we take for granted are HUGE things we need to THANK GOD FOR. The WORD tells us to gives THANKS in everything in all circumstances.
EVERYDAY MIRACLES INSPIRATION
In “Everyday Miracles” Sara Groves sings of how the Lord, the mighty miracle maker, is active and present in our everyday lives. It’s precious to think about how the one who holds all power and glory would be so compassionate to walk with me daily. Revealing himself in tender ways. Strengthening my faith. Sustaining me. Reaching into my life and creating everyday miracles that are personal and powerful. To think of it moves my spirit. To see it floods my heart with gratitude for grace. Sara’s song expresses this miracle so beautifully.
THE LYRICS TELLS A STORY
- It’s the everyday miracles that keep my hope alive
- The way You move in little things that help me survive
- And I know You move in greater ways
- But this is great enough for me
[Phl 2:13 KJV] 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.
- What You do with my everyday is amazing
- The things that seem impossible, I lay down at Your feet
- And just when I am needing most You are there for me
[Luk 1:37 KJV] 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSSIBLE FOR GOD
WHAT YOU DO EVERYDAY IS AMAZING
- I know you’ve made the lame to walk
- And caused the blind to see
- But what You do with my everyday is amazing
- When I’m down on my knees
[Mat 11:5 KJV] 5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
- And I can’t make it through
- When it’s up to me
- It’s really up to You
AND HE DID IT AGAIN
THANK YOU, JESUS! You are a GOD OF EVERYDAY MIRACLES that never end. WHEN WE ASK IN YOUR NAME for the WILL OF GOD to happen, you will respond.
Without a doubt, I know the HOLY SPIRIT leads me to His worship songs and movies IN HIS TIME. And it is in my patience when I wait upon the LORD, that I know that I know that I know when He guides me to HIS song / movie that touches my heart. IN HIS TIME when the song / movie is to bless someone who may be experiencing the message in the movie.
EVERYDAY MIRACLE TRAILER
EVERYDAY MIRACLES
And HE DID IT AGAIN with EVERYDAY MIRACLES. This movie showcases how some “proclaimed” Ministers of the Word are just in it for the money! They may have started with good intentions, but the LOVE of fame and money, and exporting a truly gifted child of GOD, redirects their steps. They became manipulative when they take their eyes off JESUS and onto themselves.
“Everyday Miracles” is about a faith healer who’s running from his past…and his gifts. During Cotton’s journey, he stumbles into a family with layers of heartbreak. Together, they try to make peace with their broken pasts and cling to the hope of a better future.
This movie was inspirited by the writer’s own personal experience.
DEDICATED TO MY SISTER
“The film is dedicated to my sister, Mary Pat, who passed away from complications from aplastic anemia. During her treatment, she needed a bone marrow transplant and I was the only possible donor. So I guess it wasn’t that big a stretch to start writing a story about a man with miraculous gifts who attempts to save his sister’s life,” writer and director Marty Madden (“Musical Chairs”) told The Christian Post.
Madden said he thought the time he spent with his sister before she died was to help her, but instead she was the one who was teaching him valuable life lessons.
INTERVIEW WITH ERIK SMITH who portrays COTTON
Q: How did the making of this movie affected you as far as your faith is concerned?
It reminded me of a few important faith lessons.
First – God is love. Growing up in a Christian school, I turned away from my faith due to “Christian” bullies. These popular church kids were shoving me in lockers, spitting on me, and teasing me literally every day. In fact, the Christian teachers joined in once and awhile. It took me a LONG time to heal from that and even longer to understand that they didn’t speak for God.
Second – it’s okay to ask questions. Questions are good. They help you find truth. I honestly believe that more kids would remain engaged in spiritual discussions if they felt like they were in a safe environment to doubt.
LIFE IS NOT ALWAYS EASY
Because we live on this earth, we will experience trails and tribulations.
[Jhn 16:33 KJV] 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
And these trails and tribulations can come from within the CHURCH and outside the CHURCH. BUT the WORD tells us to “BE OF GOOD CHEER; I HAVE OVERSOME THE WORLD.”
WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT DIFFICULT TIMES?
Nehemiah 8:10 Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.
God led Cotton to a family that was also grieving the loss of a mother and son. They needed each other to overcome their grief and their DOUBT in their FAITH. During their journey they learned about that EVERYDAY MIRACLES were right in front of them.
TODAY IS THE DAY THAT HE LORD HAS MADE AND WE SHALL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT.
WE SHALL SEE THOUGH OUR SPIRITUAL EYES THE EVERYDAY MIRACLES RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES.
IN CONCLUSION
For me, this movie was a reminder to KEEP MY EYES FOCUSED on THE WORD, not the actions of others in and outside of the Church. I am to STUDY TO SHOW MYSELF APPROVED unto GOD, a Workman that needeth not be ashamed!
PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER because JESUS prayed for us!
In the POWER and AUTHORITY in Jesus name. Hallelujah and Amen!
