Category: Knowing God

Jesus tells us in John 17:3 that life eternal is knowing God. There is so much confusion about God’s character in the world but more importantly in the church! How well you know God will affect how you interpret the Bible. Let’s take the veil off by getting to know Him through His word (Hebrews 6:19, 10:20).

I love how Malachi 3:16 defines the fear of the Lord:

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
Those that fear the LORD, talk to each other often and think upon His name! How many of God’s names are discouraging? If ALL of God’s names are good and encouraging, why are so many people discouraged and fearful today?
According to Titus 1:15-16, there is a difference between knowing God and professing to know Him:
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
You can begin by reading and studying His word today.
GREATER IS HE THAT LIVES IN ME

GREATER IS HE THAT LIVES IN ME

GREATER. A powerful word that means in Christian theology, the spontaneous, unmerited gift of the divine favour in the salvation of sinners, and the divine influence operating in individuals for their regeneration and sanctification. In essence, GOD’s GRACE is GREATER than our sin! HALLELUJAH and AMEN!  In other words, GOD’S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ME and YOU.  It is more than enough!  Therefore, with attention to the word GREATER, God led me to a song and movie by the same name. Of which, both…

LETTERS TO GOD

LETTERS TO GOD

DEAR MR. GOD was written specifically for the LETTERS TO GOD movie. It sounds so professional. But the meaning is still POWERFUL and LOVING. DEAR means regarded with deep affection; cherished by someone. MR. is used before the name of an office to address a man who holds it. GOD means creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being. This salutation > to address the person being written to, addresses the receiver of the LETTER with great HONOR, RESPECT, APPRECIATION…

AT YOUR FEET IS WHERE WE WANT TO BE

AT YOUR FEET IS WHERE WE WANT TO BE

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. At your feet, we lay our past down and rise up with a new heart. The foot of the cross is a place of repentance. But not in our strength, but in YOURS!  Out of our darkness and into YOUR glorious LIGHT. In other words, there is nowhere else we want to be. To emphasize, to be in your presence there is fullness of joy!  [Pro 1:15 NIV] 15 my son, do not go…

WARRIOR IS A CHILD

WARRIOR IS A CHILD

WARRIOR IS A CHILD makes a power statement. Therefore, it prompted me to research two words, WARRIOR and CHILD, but from a biblical point of view. In the world view, it means a brave or experienced soldier or fighter. But what does warrior mean from a biblical perspective? A warrior after God’s heart is loyal to his Commander. TITUS 2:-14 Now take the word CHILD.  From the world view, it means a young human being below the age of puberty or below the legal age of majority.  But what does child mean from…

YOU SAY we are LOVED and STRONG

YOU SAY we are LOVED and STRONG

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. YOU SAY we are LOVED and STRONG. We are chosen, royal and yours. Remind us, once again, just who we are because we need to know. [Gal 4:7 KJV] 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. YOU SAY WE ARE LOVED AND STRONG We are LOVED WHEN WE CAN’T FEEL IT We are STRONG WHEN WE FEEL WEAK…

SURVIVOR

SURVIVOR

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. You are our GOD. OUR FIGHTER. You made us a SURVIVOR.  The weight of our past is no more. And in its place is a new creation in Christ; a BORN-AGAIN new person with a new heart. [Isa 54:17 KJV] 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and…

WONDERFUL, MERCIFUL SAVIOR

WONDERFUL, MERCIFUL SAVIOR

WONDERFUL, MERCIFUL SAVIOR is a song that touched my heart. As always, I know the next song / article is from GOD when the tears flow!  And with this song, it opened a flood gate.  INSPIRATION BIBICAL INSPIRATION MEANS the inspiration of Scripture refers to God’s direction of the human authors of the Bible to compose and record His message to humanity in their original writings, something he did in a couple of ways: Sometimes this came about by God speaking directly to the…

PROTECTOR

PROTECTOR

Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. You are our PROTECTOR (defends or shields from injury, evil, oppression, etc.; a defender). We no longer believe the lies of the enemy. We have come out of agreement with the enemy and into agreement with YOU, our Heavenly Father!  [2Sa 22:3KJV] 3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: [he is] my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.  You…
