We tend to over-spiritualize God’s Word. In all practicality, we are straining at a gnat while gulping down a camel. We complicate the gospel while consuming the world’s sin, lust, and deception. Let’s be practical, and get to know God and ourselves first. Then we can freely give as we receive all of God’s blessings, promises, and gifts!

[Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. – Mat 23:24 KJV

God

God is love (1 John 4:8, 16). John is the apostle who has the greatest revelation of Jesus’ love! That is the strength that carried John to the foot of the cross to serve Mary.

God is Love

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. – Phm 1:6 KJV

If you are in Christ Jesus (born again John 3:7), His Holy Spirit is in you and has sealed your little born-again spirit with His Spirit. Done! It is finished. Now offer your body a living (not dead) sacrifice by renewing your mind (washing of the Word) daily (Romans 12:1-3).

Scripture is Practical!

I have heard more Scripture and biblical principles in business seminars and leadership material than I have ever heard in a “church” sermon. Me too! I am guilty of doing this very thing also.

Let’s be practical in our church leadership and train up the church in the way we should go. This begins with us!

Dignity Training

Why am I hearing more training on treating other people with dignity at my company than in the church? Skin color, race, gender, nationality, socioeconomic status, etc. is superficial! It is all superficial! Shallow! It is an intentional distraction from the enemy! Every human being is made in the image of God and should be treated accordingly.

Freely Give as You Have Freely Received

Let’s be practical and obey Jesus’ commands! Matthew has recorded Jesus saying this.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. – Mat 10:8 KJV

Why is Jesus telling His disciples to do these things? Because He wants us to work against the weapons of the enemy. The thief! Jesus wants us to have and enjoy an abundant life!

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly. – Jhn 10:10 KJV

Blessed to BE A Blessing

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. – Gal 3:14 KJV
Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. – Heb 6:14 KJV
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. – 1Pe 3:9 KJV

Satan is a liar and the father of lies! He is a toothless lion who can only devour those who allow it by not finding out their power and authority in Christ Jesus! The world is dying and going to hell. Christians are being murdered by the enemy way too soon. Church, what are we doing about it? ADAM, where are you???

All Promises

All the promises of God are yes and AMEN (let it be done) in Christ Jesus! God is establishing you in Christ. He has already anointed you if you are in Christ!

For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. – 2Co 1:20 KJV

The Greatest Gifts!

Who needs or wants Santa Claus? I don’t!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. – Jas 1:17 KJV

Because a few nutballs have made a public spectacle of Jesus’ Holy Spirit, He is being rejected by the majority of the people who call themselves the church.

And, some are being misjudged as nutballs who are sincerely displaying His gifts and power!

Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? – 1Co 14:16 KJV
If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in [those that are] unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? – 1Co 14:23 KJV

Because of my ignorance and the lack of good teaching, it took me years to learn to pray in tongues even after I had asked to be filled and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I thank God for Andrew Wommack and his life’s work and disciples. His and his staff’s practical teachings have saved my life and my family from the destroyer.

Holy Spirit is the Greatest Gift!

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. – Act 2:38 KJV
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. – Act 10:45 KJV
For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, – Heb 6:4 KJV

Holy Spirit Can Make Anyone Bold

Look at Peter’s transformation after he was able to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. – Act 4:13 KJV

Peter never denied Jesus again!

Freely Receive

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? – Mat 7:11 KJV

God is not controlling you! Is He? Do you sin? Have you ever? Does God use the devil to cause bad things to happen to good people? Let’s be practical and learn the truth that will set you free! Then go into the world and preach the gospel and set them free too. Be Jesus to yourself, your closest peeps, and then unto the whole world!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – Jhn 3:16 KJV
