WHEN WE SEEK HIM
Dear Lord, thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Father, Abba. We love you so much, Father, and we thank you that we can come boldly before your throne of GRACE. WHEN WE SEEK HIM. The wisemen were watching and praying for heavenly signs of His birth. They followed the starlight through long days and dark nights to worship the Lord of the earth.
WHEN WE SEEK HIM
SEEK: attempt to find something
[Mat 2:1-12 KJV] 1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard [these things], he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, [in] the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
GO AND SEARCH DILIGENTLY
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found [him], bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed
THEN I’D WALK TO JESUS
The innocence of a child to SEEK THE SAVIOR. This worship song touched my heart as a parent and grandparent. Let the children lead them to the JESUS! When we come to Jesus as a child at heart, we willingly accept His GIFT of salvation as a child opening a special gift at Christmas.
- If miles lay between us
- Then I’d walk to Jesus
- O’er mountain and desert
- I’d follow that star
- But He doesn’t ask us
- To journey so far
- For He will be with us
- Wherever we are
- When we seek Him
When we listen to that still, small voice > it leads to blessings for ourselves and others. I thank GOD for those who put to lyrics / music the words spoken to them. I’d Walk to Jesus is four powerful words. When we walk to HIM we walk away from our problems and to His SOLUTION.
THANK YOU
Dear Lord, as the REASON FOR THE SEASON day grows closer, we will take time to read Matt 2:1-12 again. We will let the story come alive in us as we see with our spiritual eyes the GREATEST STORY EVERY TOLD. As He was led by the FATHER to come to earth as a BABE, we are led by HIM through the WORD of GOD to the plans He has for us. The BIBLE has all the answers to our hurts and disappointments. Let’s take time today to give THANKS for the WORD of GOD and ask the HOLY SPIRIT to guide our steps to the verses that hold the ANSWERS to our needs.
- For He will be with us
- Wherever we are
- When we seek Him
PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER because JESUS prayed for us!
In the POWER and AUTHORITY in Jesus name. Hallelujah and Amen!
