Dear Lord, thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Abba, Father. We love you so much, Father, and we thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne of GRACE. GIVE TO THE LORD. Give and it will come back to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Give and it will come back to you. When you give, give to the Lord. 

Our giving is a reminder of the blessings God gave to us through Jesus Christ. God’s motivation for giving was LOVE; he gave himself in the person of Jesus; and God gave in response to our need.

[Jhn 3:16 NIV] 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

GIVE TO THE LORD

[2Co 9:6-8 KJV] 6 But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work:

 BENEFIT OF GIVING

When we give to the LORD, it changes our lives.

• Makes us feel happy

• Is good for our health 

• Evokes gratitude 

• Is contagious 

 GIVING started with JESUS! And His giving changed the world. 

• Give in love, give in faith
• And give with joy and the smile on your face
• Give as the Lord has given you
• How you give is a reflection of your gratitude
• From your heart, give your best
• Give unto God and you will be blessed
• Don’t be stingy and don’t be tight
• Learn from the widow in the Bible
• Who gave her last dime

[Mar 12:42-43 NIV] 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.

MORE THAN MONEY

As a Christian, we GIVE of our lives to another as JESUS taught us to give. He GAVE …

• HIS TIME TO TEACH HIS DISCIPLES
• TO HEAL
• TO BLESS
• TO LOVE

When we give from a cheerful heart, we are blessed.  As we see people in need, GIVE, not to be seen by man, but by GOD. 

MONEY, TIME, TALENTS

TESTIMONY: I give because JESUS gave to me time, talents, money.  And the rewards have overflowed me with JOY in the LORD because I know JESUS is working through me to bless others.

MONEY > A WORD that evokes lots of emotions: joy when we have it, despair when we don’t. BUT, as Christens, it is not the source of our joy, it is the extension of what JESUS wants us to do with it. 

THANK YOU

Thank you, Lord, for all YOU gave to us by Your choice.  As You GAVE, it opens doors for us to give. When we see people in need, let us give from a cheerful heart knowing it is YOU that are directing our steps. You use US on earth to deliver money … it doesn’t rain from heaven. We are the deliverer of YOUR blessing and we will rejoice and be glad in it.
