Dear Lord, thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Father, Abba. We love you so much, Father, and we thank you that we can come boldly before your throne of GRACE. YOU ARE AWESOME IN THIS PLACE. As I come into Your presence, past the gates of praise into Your sanctuary, I look upon Your countenance and I see the glory of Your Holy face.

[Deu 10:17 NIV] 17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

YOU ARE AWESOME IN THIS PLACE

AWESOME: extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear.

How awesome is the LORD Most High, the great King over all the earth! He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet.  God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the LORD amid the sounding of trumpets.

HE WOODEN CROSS

As we look upon the cross today, it will remind us of what Jesus Christ did for us on two pieces of wood nailed together. Jesus volunteered to be crucified upon that cross for us. 

Jesus was taken to a place called Golgotha – which means ‘The place of the skull’ – for his crucifixion. This is where all crucifixions took place, it was just outside the city wall. Crucifixion was used on the worst criminals as it was a very torturous form of execution.

[Gal 2:20 NIV] 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

A powerful SONG with a powerful image of the CROSS. As we look upon this day that the Lord has made, lets take time to PRAISE JESUS for how AWESOME He is.
