Dear Lord, Thank you for loving us. You are our Daddy, Father, Aba. We love you so much, Father, and we thank you that we can come boldly before your throne of GRACE. These are the DAYS OF ELIJAH, declaring the WORD OF THE LORD. Oh, we give glory to you, Lord.

DAYS OF ELIJAH

Elijah’s name means “Yahweh is my God” and is spelled Elias in some versions of the Bible. He was known as a prophet and a miracle worker

The stories we read about Elijah in Kings 1 and 2 show us Elijah’s humanity. We can identify with the doubts and struggles Elijah experienced in our own faith journey. And from Elijah’s story we can receive assurance about who God is and what we can expect from him. Important to remember, though his obedience to God, he is our example to follow.

[Jas 5:17-18 KJV] 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

DECLARE THE WORD OF THE LORD

At the same time as ELIJAH spoke BOLDLY the WORD of the LORD, he performed MIRACLES!

[1Ki 17:1 KJV] 1 And Elijah the Tishbite, [who was] of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, [As] the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

[1Ki 17:23-24 KJV] 23 And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth. 24 And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou [art] a man of God, [and] that the word of the LORD in thy mouth [is] truth.

As Elijah raised the women’s son from death, Jesus also raised Lazarus days after his burial > FOUR DAYS LATE but still ON TIME.

With these examples in mind, we are assured that GOD CAN USE US TOO!  GOD wants to use HIS BORN-AGAIN BELIEVERS to BOLDY DECLARE HIS WORD and PERFORM MIRACLES. 

Regardless of what the WORLD says about our BOLD WORDS, they are WORDS directly from the WORD OF GOD!

THE WORD IS TRUE

In other words, as Elijah willingly said YES to the call to be used by GOD, we can also say YES and AMEM as well!

As a result of Elijah’s obedience, we have the courage to DECLARE the WORD with confidence.  

In summary, we THANK YOU for Elijah’s example to DECLARE THE WORLD OF THE LORD. Thank you for guiding our steps to your special child who needs to hear about your LOVE. Bring to our remembrance scripture that will speak to their heart. Give us the BOLDNESS of a lion to ROAR with confidence about how your LOVE transformed our lives. 

• Oh, we give glory to You, Lord (we worship You, Lord)
• You’re the Lion of Judah
• The Lamb who was slain (we worship You, Jesus)
