WHO AM I?
WHO AM I? A powerful question? And one that The Holy Spirit led me to for this post. The WORLD’s response to this question is JOB TITLE. It is the way we had been taught to respond without thought. It is our identity! I responded, A Senior Living Advisor. It is my JOB, or as I consider it, Position with Influence.
As a matter of fact, as I listened to the lyrics of this song, my EYES and HEART were opened to the WORD’s response > I AM A CHRISTIAN!

Mark’s journey reflects ours. The questions he asked God, and the answers he received resulted in this song. WHO AM I was not based on what he was doing or not doing? It was based on what JESUS HAD ALREADY DONE FOR HIM > the FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSS.

Not only did The Holy Spirit direct me to his song, he also led me to a movie on pureflix.com that literally brought this song to LIFE for me.
In fact, OVERCOMER is a powerful movie that showcases these lyrics and brought tears to my eyes throughout the movie. Between this song and the movie, I cried a BUCKET OF TEARS!!
So, I want to share some insights on this movie and encourage you to watch it as well. It is a story of FORGIVENESS and overcoming loss, hurt, and pain!

As a matter of fact, a few years after the number one movie, War Room, the Kendrick Brothers returned to the big screen with another! The movie Overcomer is about finding your identity in Christ and its powerful influence on our daily lives.
In essence, your identity is not in WHO YOU ARE in the flesh, or what the world says about you. Your identity is found and hidden in Jesus Christ and that alone is enough.

In summary, the main character is Hannah, a fifteen-year-old struggling to find her place in the world. Both parents were drug addicts (mom overdosed and died) and her father abandoned her at age five. Her transformation from unbeliever to believer demonstrates the power of EACH ONE CAN REACH ONE FOR CHRIST.
