Beloved

Beloved

You are loved! Be Loved!

God calls you “Beloved” because He wants you to be loved by Him. Unless you receive His love for you, how can you freely give it to the world through your testimony?

And there came a voice from heaven, [saying], Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Mark 1:11 KJV)

Mark 1:11 is God talking about Jesus. 1 John 4:17 (below) says “as [Jesus] is, so are we in this world.”

God’s Beloved Sons and Daughters

Just as Jesus is still God’s beloved Son, you are God’s beloved child (1 John 4:7)! If you are born again, you have received God as your Father, and you are His beloved son/daughter in whom He is well pleased right now, just as you are (2 Thessalonians 2:13)!

Please see “How to Have Life Eternal” to learn more about salvation.

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:14-19 KJV)

Part of our divine purpose in this life in this world is to overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11)!

Our testimony should be good like our Father (Titus 3:4, Ephesians 2:7)!

…knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? (Romans 2:4 KJV)

Who Are the Beloved?

Jude begins his letter to the beloved by identifying himself as “the servant of Jesus Christ” and defining who the beloved actually are as “them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:” (Jude 1:1). That’s it! It’s not by works, but by faith, so no man should boast (Galatians 2:16, Titus 3:5, Ephesians 2:8-9).

He goes on to tell us that we “should earnestly contend (fight) for the faith (1 Timothy 6:12, 2 Timothy 4:7, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). The Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:10-12 to be strong in the Lord and His power that we may be able to resist the devil because our fight is against the “rulers of the darkness of this world!” He goes on in Ephesians 6:13-18 to explain how well-equipped and protected by God we already are to fight!

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. … But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; … But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, (Jude 1:3, 17, 20 KJV)

Jude 1:20 and Ephesians 6:18, both emphasize the importance of praying in the Spirit! That’s why the Bible warns us not to quench the Spirit and that the only blasphemy is against the Holy Ghost. Because when we misrepresent the power of the Holy Spirit, we cripple the church! Those we are prohibiting to build themselves up and keep themselves in the love of God, and those that we should be praying for.

  1. We are to be a light in darkness with the glow of God’s Love. We are His Beloved because He first loved us. Amen!

    1. Amen Beautiful! I only thought I knew what love is until I met Jesus! Now I am discovering more and more every day what it means to be loved by God just because we are His beloved! God can redeem, wants to redeem, and is redeeming all of the time that I know I personally wasted being deceived by the enemy, “the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)!” Now the thief is having to pay me back exponentially more than he stole!!! hahaha!!! We can only freely give what we allow ourselves to freely receive! I receive life eternal (John 17:3) now, in this life, and life more abundant (John 10:10)! I choose to submit to God and His goodness (Hebrews 11:6) and resist the devil (James 4:7) and fight the good fight! Hallelujah! I am fighting for myself and the whole world because God so loved the world (John 3:16-17)!!!
